The frying pan with the cap is less likely to get you relegated?
We might get the odd slice of bacon in the frying pan with the cap on. In Lamberts frying pan, he's frying dog shit and the non-stick has worn out.

Marcelo Biesla.  Although he's now the current manager of Marseille, he's declared his interest (via the media) before.

?

The Mirror published an article after TSM left with Biesla declaring his interest in coming to England and allegedly saw us as the perfect fit, having worked with limited resources at Bilbao.

Can't find the link now!

This. I know no-one wants him, i don't, but i really don't want Lambert. If the devil wants a hand job for us to stay up, then I'll be spitting on my palms.

Yes, I'd think our league position would be better with Pulis than Lambert. I'm not sure what Pulis has done wrong tbh. His style of football leaves a lot to be desired but his results are good. Pulled Stoke out of the doldrums and had them performing at a good level in the PL. Had one bad season where he got lots of criticism but avoided relegation and then walked away. Did a great job at Palace last season.

Who's the 3 injured CB then, because if 2 of them are Baker and Clark we shouldn't have too much of a problem.

Going to be very tough for him to get results now with 3 cb's injured

That's his latest excuse sorted!

I'm sorry, I didn't realise we'd lost Monday's game already.

If it were up to me, Lambert would be picking up his P45 tomorrow, but I'd honestly rather saw my own head off than see Pulis appointed.

What's the point in jumping from the frying pan into another frying pan?

Pulis has a tactical awareness and an ability to win games in the top flight. A proven experience over a few years too.

the one thing that really surprised me was some of the football he got Palace playing. They played some super stuff at Spurs last season and if Puncheon had scored that penalty they could have  won that game. In the end they lost but they played some intricate passing football. They showed a lot of energy and variety in their play. Pulis' limitation is long term and would he be able to maintain that type of football or ball back to what he knows and has worked for him.

I think Pulis probably answered that question by leaving Palace when he did...he'd had free reign to play that filth at Stoke because he took them from nowhere ...at Palace the expectations would have been raised this year & he was unlikely to get that reaction again!

I am absolutely staggered by the guy I bumped into yesterday. Last few days I've been off visiting my dad, ended up in our old Chelmsford stomping ground and was stood admiring the football selection in the calendar club. The following conversation went like this.
ME - Ah, the Villa calendar, haven't bought one of these for about two years but then we've been so crap i'd probably end up chucking darts at it.
DAD - Not while that tosser Lambert is in charge, eh?
This older fella stood next to us turns around and says:
BLOKE - Lambert? He's a great manager.
Now I am smiling at this point thinking this guy is playing along and being sarky. What follows I still cant get over.
ME - He's dreadful isn't he?
BLOKE - He's really a great boss. Really has turned that club around in the last two years.
ME - Are you bonkers? He's fucking awful. Dragging us down.
BLOKE - On the money Lerner gives him he's doing a great job. Got rid of all the over priced over paid big names, kept us in the league, winning some great games.
ME - You're off your trolley. Its abysmal shit. Dreadful to watch, dreadful tactics, awful league record, awful cup losses to lower teams...
BLOKE - No you're wrong, he's doing well.
At this point I basically told him I didn't agree with him and was on my way. The bloke shook his head at me and his missus told him not to get on his soap box. 24 hours on I still cannot believe what I was hearing. If you are on H and V man then all due respect but by god you spoke a lot of shit yesterday.

The bloke wasn't a certain Mr Lambert by any chance?
