I'm listening to Spurs fans ringing up TalkSport whinging about their season and one of them touched on something which I was thinking about over the weekend. If we are to change our manager, now would probably be the best time to do it if any. Liverpool are looking very ordinary without Suarez, Man Utd are in transition, and Spurs themselves look very average. I'm not saying we'd finish above them all but we'd possibly have a better chance at being closer to them than we normally would.

It isn't unusual for the first part of the season to see the league like this but in the New Year it settles into the same old clubs dominating the table. The rest just don't have the depth of squad to sustain it once injuries, suspensions and tiredness kick in.

I did not know you had twin girls Toronto, I always had you down as Toronto's most eligible bachelor.   Have to agree that I would take anybody as manager at the moment, just to break the spell we have fallen under.

Spoof Lambert interview. Works
for me everytime!
Spoof, did you say?

"He got in the box 3 times, that's fantastic"

My KS2 Girls 'A' Team have P4 W3 L1. Is that sufficient?
I'll take that. You're hired.

Can't be any worse than Ads surely?

I'd love to see what would happen if Spurs had a run of form like ours. Moaning bastards

You wish I was the manager. You'd love my mentalist football. We could be playing Real Madrid and Bayern Munich at the same time and I would still fancy our chances. The players would too.

I don't understand negativity and I don't understand Lambert's retreat towards it's dull habours.

It's called stability Ads.  Safe from the tempests of the mid table.

I don't believe it'll make a jot of difference, but a journo just tweeted that Moyes has turned down the Sociedad job.
Not true, unfortunately .

I'm not sure that Moyes is the answer to be honest.

Moyes is damaged goods and should be given a wide berth.

It's all so disappointing with Lambert. His time at Villa feels like being kicked in the nuts, followed a quick recovery period where the pain subsides and you forget how horrible it all was, then you get a big boot in the knackers again and it all comes flooding back.

I was watching Sunday Supplement last week and one of the journos on there was being an apologist for PL - which seems to be a widely held view, and I find that support odd, as he doesn't seem particularly friendly to the media - but he also went on to say that he knew that certain people in the squad were causing problems. Don't know if there's anything in it but there has to be some reason why he's so immune to criticism in the press.

The thing is you can only take the limited budget thing so far. There are lots of managers who work on limited budgets and do a much better job. The current Villa squad isn't great, but it's better than it's performing. We are playing atrocious football and we're losing all the time. There is no excuse to perform as badly as Lambert is.
