My KS1 (Y1/2) football team this evening W3-0, W1-0, W1-0 and D2-2. Can I have Lambert's job?

As long as you promise that if you lose a game you pick yourself up and go again.

And me. Love the end quote most..... "We are working around the clock to bring in average players to Aston Villa"

I don't believe it'll make a jot of difference, but a journo just tweeted that Moyes has turned down the Sociedad job.

very uplifting to watch that.
No, really.

Actually, when you watch the real PL, you realise that he has been completely cowed by this experience. He's a dead man walking.

Please be true and that we have approached him. Not because I want him you understand. It's because he isn't Lambert. Right now my twin little girls would be better than Keane and Lambert.

The last game I went to was a European game after the thrashing by the Barcodes (Carew missed a pen).  I think KMac was manager ?  It was an awful night - both football & weather.
Curtis Davies made a terrible error to give away a goal & Heskey's backside (while lying prone in the 6 yard box) prevented a Villa goal !
Can't remember if we lost or drew, but we got knocked out.
I left the ground drenched & depressed.
Since then I've watched The Villa games live on a laptop stream. Then I started listening to a radio commentary & rushing to the PC to see the goals on the stream ( because of the delay).  Now I don't even bother with the stream or radio.  I come on here to check the result.
My love for The Villa has been sucked out of me like a vampire for the last 5 years.
I wanted Lambert to succeed (changing the manager every 2 years is no good), but it obviously 'aint gonna work.
It's so depressing & I can't see it getting any better any time soon.
I'm gonna stick to watching kids football from now on.  It doesn't hurt as much to see my son's team lose as much as it does The Villa (even though it feels wrong).

I'm listening to Spurs fans ringing up TalkSport whinging about their season and one of them touched on something which I was thinking about over the weekend. If we are to change our manager, now would probably be the best time to do it if any. Liverpool are looking very ordinary without Suarez, Man Utd are in transition, and Spurs themselves look very average. I'm not saying we'd finish above them all but we'd possibly have a better chance at being closer to them than we normally would.

As long as we are out of and away from the bottom three (YET A-BLOODY-GAIN) at the end of the season will do for me at the moment.

Other than [spits] Chelsea[/spits] there really isn't much quality in the league.

Bit of a toss up for 2-4 at the moment.
Man City are looking a bit of a one man team at the moment.
Can't see West Ham staying up there.  Think Southampton and Swansea will feel the pressure at some point.  Arsenal will finish 4th.  It's in the PL rules and regs.

After that it's all a bit pish where no one really looks compelling.  If ever there was a season where a decent game plan and the right 2 or 3 additions could have really propelled someone up the table, this was is it.

Ironically he might actually have got the additions somewhere close with Sanchez and Senderos but the game plan bit..................
