Goldstein asked Dave what had gone wrong since the excellent beginning of the season, and Dave said several things including Benteke had been out and...then the idiot came in with, 'yeah but  'e raised 'is 'ands, Dave' and it was reduced to the ref's decision in the last game.

A less than forensic piece of punditry from the TS experts.

He turned a stagnet Everton around pretty quickly.
i'd have taken Moyes like a shot if he hadn't gone to Utd. He comes across as a decent guy (as do both Lambert and McLeish in my view), but he's damaged goods now after that scarring season at OT. Would be very reluctant to get him in now. He'll have had enough of pressure and will have enough in the bank now not to really give a fuck with the mountain of shit to sort out at VP.

Even the pressure at Everton, as secure as he was in his job with their consistent placings, looked like it was getting to him - you could see it in his features at press conferences.

What we need now in my view is an ex-player, or someone with strong connections to the club, along the lines of little, Gregory or G Taylor. I'm not suggesting either of those three, just using them as examples. Can't think of any names that spring to mind though, other than Peter Withe in Thailand, or Cowans. I'm sure there would be others, any ideas?

If we lose tomorrow I have a strong feeling that early next week there will be a job vacancy at Villa Park.
I reckon it'll be by 'mutual agreement' with all the usual guff about 'the best interests of the club' being spouted.
I wonder how much it would cost to pay him off? Ten million? And to think our chairman is meant to be trying to sell. Its no wonder Lambert doesn't fear the sack. In his shoes I'd positively relish it.
I would imagine there is a clause in that contract that sets a 'reasonable' amount of compensation, nowhere near £10m.

Fuck all should just about cover it !

This is Randy Lerner we are talking about.

I think 9 or 10 matches without a win will see Lambert moved out. I'm essentially of the view that if we continue to lose matches up to GW 13 Burnley  & GW14 Crystal Palace then there is the more than reasonable decision to call time on his Villa management .

We would have all committed suicide by then.

Happy to accept that if it's fact....not how I remember it.
Improved them, yes.
Quickly?

7th first season, Top 4 3rd season. Not bad going.
Fair enuff aj...perhaps I was too much influenced by my Everton mate who does nothing but moan about how shite they always are!
Don't know he's born do he?

BOOM!!!!! You told him mofo!

Check his bad self.
I'm sure Everton were relegation material before he took them over?

I think the whole Roy Keane appointment was some warped PR stunt. Still no idea why he is here really.

Maybe because Lambert needed a new assistant.
No doubt he did but his judgement in choosing Keane once again shows poor managerial ability.

I don't mind Andy Gouldstein actually. His show is a bit Soccer Am-ish but he can be a good listen.

I tried to listen to TS Monday am the Alan Brazil show after the spurs loss. It wasn't pleasant , a hungover Anchor , one of his Z list ex footballer mates and adverts for Jewsons and Screw-Fix every 3 mins on a loop. Never again.

Alan McInally has just been talking on sky sports about the Villa and his mate TSM11 apparently he has had no money to spend, he has done well to keep us up he has brought in young players and developed them (Most of them have been sold or shipped out on loan) If they get rid of him just because they get beat today (what about the two and a half years before?) What he is doing is unbelievable? (Yes unbelievably badly)

Lambert also has said people need perspective on the games we have had. He has a big pair of balls. Wish I could find a job like his

Lambert should be begging the fans for forgiveness at this point, not acting like there isn't a problem.

Who are these young players he's bought through?

Baker? A 50p headed calamity.

Struggling to think of who else.
