Having lost to spurs 3-0 at the end of last season Lambert is quoted as saying it was an incredible achievement to keep Villa in the premier league. Not only this he regards it as his greatest achievement as a manager and a great achievement in his career. Its quite evident again in face of such adversity , namely these last few matches, the villa manager shown real strength and is far from being overwhelmed by negative feelings that you jest of. In fact such mental toughness considering the current situation means Lambert must be really learning . Now that's the hope and let's hope victories can occur under his stewardship.

Another explanation could be that he knows that he is completely out of his depth, has been promoted to a level beyond his competence, is hanging in there in the hope that something might turn up and in the knowledge that he has a big pay day coming which will be his last based on his Villa record of achievements.

I really don't want to be reactinary however losing the next 3 or 4 games meaning 9 to 10 defeats would see less understanding towards Lambert's managing than I currently have. As we are not currently bottom of the league or in the relegation zone I thinking I'm being fair. I'm hoping for a major up turn in fortunes and playing style which will come with a few victories ! Up the Villa !
