I mean as our CEO , if he sees things are going pear shaped does he have the authority or acumen to change things ? I simply cannot understand how appallingly this club is being run. It's criminal .

I'd presume the final say would be Randy's, seeing as he owns the club. Mr Fox just works for him. I wouldn't be having a pop at someone who's only been in the job for 2 months.

Well so far he has presided over new contracts for lambert and Gabby. Hardly an auspicious start to his villa career.

Regarding Gabby, I presume Lambert wanted to keep him, Randy gave him the go ahead and Gabby agreed the deal. Tom Fox was only doing his job drafting up the contract. That's how it works.

You make it sound as if those were his call to make.

I see Sillhill's point.  We did hope, or at least I did, that a new CEO would have a moderating effect on the swings and roundabouts of Randy Lerner's mind.   So far looks like business as usual.

Someone on this board needs to grow a pair of bollocks and do the right thing. And before it's too late.

Another poor decision really.  I honestly think Gabby's most effective role going forward would be as a sub coming on for the last 30 minutes or less when defences are starting to tire.  Seeing as he's bound to be one of the top earners at the club, it's not an ideal situation for him to be filling that role though.

How many sights are there more depressing in football than a fat Darren Bent coming on, strolling around like he just doesn't give a fuck and doesn't care who knows it?

Nearly as depressing as seeing yet another set of away fans celebrating on our own Villa Park turf.

We cant get Hutton and Senderos back quickly enough. The sight of Lowton and Baker in the defence every week must spur the opposition on no end. And i know its irrelevant but Baker looks a right fucking tool with that beard and hair. It just adds insult to injury.

So another defeat, albeit predictable. We're more than likely to lose the next two, leaving Burnley as the one which must see Lambert lose his job should we fail to win.
