Both needed to be hounded out. 3 years of this is not on. This result wouldnt' be so bad today if we hadn't lost FIVE ON THE BOUNCE.

0 points from the last 18. It doesn't matter what the circumstances are for that, that is diabolical.

Not fooled by todays first half decent performance

If its what it takes id take being bottom at Xmas to get rid of him.

Worst losing run in 47 years. Another record

19 defeats in the last 30 games. Deflection and dodgy ref or not that's horrendous, sack him please.

It's actually worse than that.

Since 8th Dec last year it's 23 losses in 36 games -34 goal difference.

He's got to go now. If Lerner gets rid tomorrow it'll take him a month to find a replacement.

He won't go, the club will hide behind the refereeing controversy for this defeat.

I still think its worth pointing out that until 2 matches ago we would have taken where we were at that point. A defeat at Everton was quite possible, it was just the manner of it and then if course the QPR result was very poor and just bloody typical. I'm not defending him, or Lerner because Lamberts reign has been nothing but a disaster and Lerners (if taken as a whole) not far off, but 5 or 6 points out of the next four games would brighten things up a bit and we might be looking at it fairly positively again, as we were a month ago.

FWIW i think Lambert should have gone in the summer, and i can't beleive the contract extention, but lets give it another half a dozen to 10 games before we write the season off as being no progression again.

I admire you positivity. There has been no progress in over 2 years

I agree. My point was Lerner will dither for weeks in getting a new manager. It'll take some serious consideration to top McLeish and Lambert.

Of course they will.

Not that they'd have sacked him anyway, but this provides an excuse. Sadly, we now have three matches with no Benteke, and I wouldn't back us to win any of them.
