I voted to give him until Xmas.
Trouble is it makes no difference what I, or any other Villa fan, think.
I shall attend, re-arrange the deckchairs and go down with the ship.

Lerner has been a long-time admirer of Moyes. You never know. Fingers crossed (but I doubt it).

It's sat there like a big open goal, so we'll sky it. There's probably more chance we'll give it Lee Clark.

Just saw someone mention Steve McClaren. Interesting. Can't say I'm overwhelmed, but he's do better than the current shower of shite.

You can tell we're getting desperate.

When Pulis and McClaren get thrown out there the bottom of the barrel is in clear view. Fuck me how on earth did we get here?

The only possible justification for keeping him is that it would cost too much to sack him. Which frankly is Lerner's own fault so as someone earlier said, he can stump up for it. Sack him, sack him, sack him. Useless ******.

I've never really been that convinced by Moyes, and I just can't shake the feeling that were he to come here we would see precisely no change whatsoever. He's a better manager than Lambert, but he's still very similar - he's just a nicer cutting from the same dull, plodding, overrated Scottish tree. We need a manager who will actually do things differently, and change the mentality and the style.

Fuck the cost. The cost of going down is not even a thought worth contemplating.

Odds on next manager
Points I'd take from that.

Only two firms quoting odds. - Not a very active market.

If it's a very small market, I reckon £20 might be enough to get someone like Benitez into the top 5.

So to sum up, it means chuff all.

Nothing will change. He has a new contract. Unless of course he resigns but he just isnt the type  to do that. Lerner will not sack him for financial reasons. It is fairly obvious that a buyer cannot be found so in effect we are stuck with a manager no one wants.A club owner who doesnt want to own the club and a set of players who need a new manager badly.

It adds up to misery personified.

Is it too much to ask to find a manager that wants to play a bit of football? Is there nobody else on the planet than the same old names? Give me someone who teaches the players to love the ball, keep it and pass it to each other. Even Garry Monk has managed to do that, and most of us thought who's Garry Monk and thought he'd be gone by now.

Lambert's the bottom of the barrel.

That might well be true, but we've got a particularly leaky barrel that has to be kept over a drip tray.  We're now looking through the bottom of the barrel into the very murky dregs and left overs of previous barrels, plus the detritus of our own barrel.

I agree 100%, I'd love us to go and get Biesla for example. But given where we are in terms of ownership and investment I think we'd struggle to make it happen, or even to make it work.

They've probably not heard of him.
