Last 18 games in the league. 14 points. Hard to believe that is seen as any way acceptable. I just wish the media would start driving the message. Not even the press seem bothered with us any more. We are in a deep, deep coma and only the fans seem to care.

That is a terrible run, no mistake, but useful for the purposes in highlighting just how bad it has been for the past five or six months,.

It's irrelevant to the situation we find ourselves in this season, where you look at the squad and while it might not get you excited, it should make you think it's capable of being solidly mid-table, flirting with the top half. The manager appears incapable of utilising the squad with any effect; four goals says it all.

It's almost as if the media are unaware of just how bad we have been for a couple of seasons. I'm also getting worried that the fans are beginning to accept it without a fight because they realise that Lambert's going nowhere so we'd better just shut up and put up with it. Last night was pretty depressing, as much for the fact that the fans looked resigned to another defeat long before the final whistle. Not only has he "lost" the away support, he seems to have sucked every ounce of enthusiasm from them as well. I wish I'd stayed in the pub and spent my 45 quid ticket money on beer ( £5.20 a pint where we were drinking yesterday)

I hate Lambert. Excuses about lack of funds would be acceptable if his teams showed the slightest signs of organisation or team spirit. That's the minimum I expect and he's fallen short on this consistently.

His reliance on this narrow game he's got them playing when clearly we haven't the standard of player to execute it to any half decent effect is baffling.  It isn't working so why persevere?  I honestly think we'd be more effective just hoofing it up front and hoping for the best.

Fancy adding the goal difference to that?

Heard a stat the other day that we've conceded more goals in 2014 than any other Prem side. Sounds about right. In terms of goals scored we'll be pretty low in that group of 17 clubs who've been in the Prem all year, if not the lowest.

The problem with that is for the most part we haven't seen anything to suggest we're capable of playing like that.

Grinding out another season in 15th, with the squad he has, isn't acceptable.

Acceptable for who though?  Maybe not for the fans, but I suspect owner, manager and players would find it more than acceptable.

It is going to be acceptable to Randy, I suspect.

He's presided over the breaking of one shitty, humilating record after another. He's served up clueless tactics. He's destroyed our expectations.

But now he's made me actually want Tony Pulis appointed manager of Aston Villa.

That's unforgiveable.

We look awful at the back again and we're absolutely diabolical going forward. There's nothing to suggest that Lambert and his coaching team are capable of changing that. It's looking pretty dire at the moment. We lost last night to a truly awful team and can't really have any complaints.

Surely he will be fired if we lose to Spurs?

I can not see how he could keep his job after 6 defeats.

If he didn't get fired after that disasterous run of defeats last season then he isn't getting fired
