Lambert is joint second favourite for the next manager to leave (8-1). Redknapp at 6-4 and Poyet also at 8-1.

That shots stat is awful when you consider we had 16 or 17 shots tonight.

Just do the right thing Randy.....P45! For once admit you've cocked up in rewarding mediocre performance with a new deal & bomb him out

If anyone can explain how Weimman & Agbonlahor are Premiership starters I'd love to hear it....yet week after week, season after season he keeps picking them.  At this level controlling a football should be a given.....neither look a scrap better at it than the days they came into the team....couldn't hold up a flag!

Gabby is resting on his reputation. He's overweight and not even that quick anymore. He needs to shape up and get some bloody desire back.

Weimann at least works hard but it's all huff and puff and zero quality. I've never got what he offers to be honest. He's just not a Premiership player and he's there for lack of better options.

The fact we gave Gabby a new four year contract is just another sign of the way in which we have accepted mediocrity at the club.

That's why he got that deal, that's why Lambert isn't even under pressure, let alone about to get sacked.

I know there has been a hesitance to openly chant against Lambert at Villa Park because of the feeling that he was the fan's choice, but surely we've put up with this shit for long enough now?

I wouldn't mind, but it's not even mediocre.

How many clubs would put up with Lambert's record? I can't think of any Prem club that would.  Not one. Apart from us obviously!

I am really depressed.
What did he do to obtain his new contract?
He beat almost all the  negative records of the Villa, showed nothing on the pitch,  brought some pub players and humiliated a glorious club both against big and small clubs.
For much less in Italy he would have been sacked with a kick in the arse, here he has obtained a renewal.
Misteries of football.

He won't be sacked during the season. It's a waste of time discussing it.

It would take a particularly stupid owner to sack him after giving him a 4 year contract extension, but then Lerner is the bloke who employed Alex McLeish, so who knows.
