Many seem to have forgotten Kozak. I think he will strengthen the side just as much as Benteke. I think our recent run of form without either of our preferred strikers is fantastic! If we continue to defend like we have been but add these two back into the squad, we'll be all right this year.

We got a decent start last year, too. Won at Arsenal and then got conned out of all three points at Chelsea.

I appreciate four games is longer than that, but it is still only four games. There have been plenty of mistakes made in the past, and I am not sure we've seen enough to forget about them just yet.

He deserves credit for four of the first five games though (the Leyton Orient defeat felt somewhat familiar), that's for sure. Let's see how things pan out.

I'd agree, but I'm a bit more hopeful as there seems to be much more to the squad now.

Yes, we finally have a defence worthy of the name.  All of them playing well.  I'm really pleased how Cissokho has slotted in considering how little time he's had with the squad.

The best performance they have seen from Cissokho at Anfield according to the RAWK post match thread.

I don't go in for all of the arguments that he has done a fabulous job with us. Some real stinking, and avoidable, mistakes have been made.

But I tend to work on gut feel with these kind of things and I never reached a point of disliking him. Normally, if you aren't capable, I will end up disliking you but even through the run at the end of last season I still fostered some hope he could fix it.

A garbled load of nonsense, and doubtless difficult to understand, but that is my feeling on him anyway.

Beginning of last season I was expecting loads, very excited about what I thought Lambert was building, only for it to turn into a pile of shining poo

This season i was expecting nothing,
nothing but a dog fight all season, which might well still happen obviously, but so far it's been ace,
I think we might just have stumbled on that magic ballance both back room and on the pitch which no one can really account for it just happens sometimes, hope so anyway

And signing Samba. *treble winky*

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!
I'd take Samba over Cahill every day of the week.

Difference is I didn't then spend ages afterwards denying I said it or trying to make out I meant something else. At the time i'd have taken Samba over Cahill which is why I said it. So not too sure what point you're trying to make.

It was just supposed to be a bit of light-hearted fun.  *shrugs*

Just imagine what it'd be like if you didn't go at all!

Gits. We'd probably win the FA Cup.

Whilst I am enjoying our new found resilience and good results I hope we do not throw out the 'young and hungry' philosophy completely.  The balance was wrong previously just as only signing experienced players will lead to ruin eventually due to their wages and depreciating value.

Indeed, but who cares about his post-match interviews?

I'm going down the bookies to put some money on us winning the league!
