There are enough mega threads as it is, unless we want to go the route of turning the entire Heroes Discussion section into one ginormous thread.

Finally. I've been waiting for weeks for an opening!
A while back, possibly Fulham, my weak-bladdered brother was, as ever, late back to his seat after half-time refreshment. On this occasion, unusually late.
"Where you been?"
"Chatting"
"Who to?"
"Steward"
"What about?"
"Lambert. He reckons Lennon's already lined up".

Just saying.

Just saying what??

He is saying that one of the perks of being a steward is you get inside ITK direct from the Board.

I think this was mainly intended as an update on his brother's bladder

I saw Neil Lennon in an Estate Agent's in Sutton Coldfield yesterday.

No sign of Yoko.

People are very quick to forget that he was tactically quite astute at Norwich, or at least had a reputation for being so.

A couple of his own, well interviewed and well selected assistant managers with an emphasis on the attacking side of the game, he can still be an excellent manager, I really believe that.

Part of me would love to see it at Villa park, with a bit of money, but think there is too much under the bridge for him here.

Despite witnessing low after low at the club and constantly calling for his head. I think after finding out what was going on behind the scenes I wouldn't be too upset if he was given a go by a new owner.
Perhaps I'm gullible and have fallen for his PR but I do admire that he has kept his nerve.
There has been lots wrong with time in charge but things do change in football and I'm sure he's more aware of the team's failings than most.

If we get new owners and the new owner and cohorts have the footballing knowledge of the current incumbents then there is no point changing him.

Lots of ifs, buts and maybes

It's the modern Rome where folk are nice to Yoko.

Thought I'd resurrect this. If he keeps this up, I'm thinking dependent on the club's circumstances he might deserve a new deal.

We might be finally getting the Paul Lambert we all hoped we were getting. Might. He has a strong assistant and has made some super signings for next to nothing. It's going well so far.

Some Twat's on Twitter were saying Lambert out because we weren't pushing forward. I despair sometimes

It helps me to think of Twitter as the intellectual equivalent of one of those ultraviolet fly traps they put in chippies, it's keeping idiots busy whilst the rest of us can get on with our lives.

I don't think the likes of Twitter will worry Lambert too much, he's shown over the last few years he just "picks himself up and goes again"!

Fair play to Lambert, he has created a very strong team and the team spirit looks fantastic. I have always had faith in him and never wanted him to be sacked as I have always felt any manager would have struggled in his position and mistakes would have been made in those circumstances.

It's a long way to go yet but the sacking of his old buddies and taking on Keane seems like a master stroke. This and the added experience has worked wonders. Also I must say giving Hutton another chance is looking like a brilliant move.
