Kozak is a good player and he'll help the side when he comes back. I reckon he's probably a 10-12 goals a year striker. Bowery on the other hand is not good enough and should go.

I'm sure Kozak will improve but I think he'd score between 5 and 10 league goals maximum personally.
Bowery on the other hand is absolutely shit.

Absolutely shit?  He's not absolutely shit, he's just not that good at the moment but had a very good game against Hull, MOTM in fact.

I saw nothing in Kozak to suggest he'll be anything but average.  Bowery is a trier and could probably do ok at a championship club.  We absolutely can't go into another season in the hope that average players become good ones (see most of the squad)  and poor ones become average ( see Baker, Sylla, Luna, Lowton, Bowery, Bennett).

We need 4 or 5 good players to add to the 4 or 5 we already have to comfortably remain in the league.

IMHO, any decent midfielder should be aiming for 5-10 goals never mind a 7m striker. If that's all we think he's going to score then surely it doesn't say much about him

Precisely.

If you think back to his interviews towards the end of the season, and how he clearly thought it was over, how he'd clearly given up and was just going through the motions, it is fairly amazing that he's still our manager.

I honestly believe it is only because the club is being sold and it makes more sense in some ways to keep him than fire him. I'm sure Randy would have told both Paul's that their future could not be guaranteed once the sale is complete.

Bowery belongs in League One. He IS absolutely shit. Not really sure how anyone can disagree with that.

Based on results and how poor we were then yes, he's lucky to still have a job but like TV suggests he's only here until the club is sold unless of course the next owners want to keep him.

I agree he's essentially here because it makes no sense to sack him while we wait for new owners to come in.

Surprised at the criticism Kozak is getting. He looked a very capable goalscorer to me, and having scored four league goals in a handful of games, I'd expect double figures if he can play a full season. He looks cumbersome and doesn't have much pace, but he can certainly take a chance and technically, he's fairly sharp. I remember watching the WBA match; we were 2-0 down, and Kozak controlled a long goal kick (obviously) from Guzan instantly, bringing it down and then hitting a first time volley which nicked the top of the crossbar. I thought then that he's got a bit about him.

When he and Benteke are fully fit again, I'm not too worried about goals. It's the time until then which concerns me. We need either a bargain signing of a striker, a season-long loan, or a proven goalscorer on a free, to tide us over until then.

Kozak certainly has potential to score about 10 goals next season provided he stays fit. He's not the quickest but he's pretty intelligent in positioning and movement imo.

Let me get this straight, he got 4 goals in 8 starts and 7 subs appearances, in his first season in the league, in a team that was playing the ball to him as if he was a target man (which he isn't) and which has very little width and no attacking midfielder and some people think he'd struggle to get 10 in a full season... really?
