Well really.
I mean. What do WM know about this situation that we don't?

Sorry, but even if they did know something, would they try to support the club?

From everything I've read on here for the last 3 years they wouldn't go across the Expressway in a milk cart if it would help the Villa.
Time to change and represent the locals if ever there was one.

So essentially if Lambert leaves at any point in in the next few months ITK people will claim to be correct, in a similar way they are claiming to be correct about the owner they named as it broke down even though it reportedly broke down 2 months before they were named? It is all a bit woolly to be revered as having your own chapel to speak to your chosen ones in isn't it? I imagine there to an Eddie Izard voice in there somewhere too.

Lambert will leave Villa when we get taken over. Lerner is unlikely to have sacked him, and there is no real reason to resign unless the takeover has happened and he wants to save face before hand and has been offered a good pay out from Lerner as thanks.

If Randy weren't looking to sell, and as quickly as he's able, I don't think Lambert would still be in a job. He probably can't believe how lucky he is - I know I can't.

I think it confirms they are nowhere near securing a new owner for the club.  He really is like a cat.

If no takeover, I think I'd honestly rather have Lambert at the club.

There is no point in Lerner sacking Lambert and I don't think he would anyway.

Hopefully he has had some guarantees that he can offer contracts to Delph, Albrighton, Vlaar etc and also spend maybe £10-15 million. With that I think we could buy a defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder and bring in two or three loans. With Okore, Kozak and N'Zogbia coming back, that should see us through to January in mid-table with ease.

but once you factor the wages of the new players into the equation it's considerably more than 10-15m and I can't see Randy making that type of investment in something he's desperate to sell. The only way I can see quality additions to the starting X1 is if the bomb squad and  peripheral players move on to free up some of the wages budget. You don't do what Randy has over the last few years to reduce costs only to significantly increase them again having announced your intention to sell.

Lerner wouldn't sack Lambert even if he got us relegated to League One! Lerner is totally out of touch and hasn't the first clue how to run a football club.....

Whilst I would agree to an extent, in this case sacking Lambert at the moment would be ridiculous.

Also he would have to pay him off and why would he do that?

As a holding strategy, signings like Hoolahan, Barry and Lescott, and the return of CNZ, Okore, Kozak and Benteke would vastly improve us from the team that finished the season. New contracts for those you mention are vital too.

All that would leave us still weak at full-back unless our present ones could find some form or improve due to playing in a better, more experienced team.

Just shows that we could be a whole lot better, at least first-team wise, even on the cheap.

This is a results business.......a record number of home defeats, cup defeats to Bradford, Millwall & Sheffield United, mostly rubbish signings - need I go on?

Your missing the point. Why would Randy pay up his contract using his money when the new owners might do it anyway?
