Two things make me want to keep him on:
1/. I don't think that this mess is nearly all his fault.
2/. I think people can have times that they don't do as well as they are capable in their job. Football is an unforgiving job, but in cases like Moyes at Everton, it can improve.
I was there as well however I can maybe accept that 79 points from 76 games is due to difficult circumstances and a few shining nuggets in a pile of demolished landscape is something we should hang on to but I can't accept the broken records this season and the  horrific home form. On top of that cup defeats against Bradford, Millwall and Sheffield Utd and especially  his words before the 3rd round match this season has done it for me. He should clear his desk as soon as he can tomorrow morning.

Brendan Rodgers singing 'You'll never walk alone' at start of their game today...where did we go wrong?

We could have been more clued into musical theatre.

'One, singular sensation...'
More like "Les Miserables"
'Do you hear the people sing?'
Okay, I concede, Louise. Musical Theatre is not my chosen subject ... However,

"Tell me it's not true"

I think we're all hoping it will be: "Tell Me On A Sunday".

I think you may be right - I think the writing is on the wall for him regarding his job. However, I think that there is a good manager in there - the time he had at Norwich and the glimpses we have seen during his time at Villa show this. Two things make me want to keep him on:
1/. I don't think that this mess is nearly all his fault.
2/. I think people can have times that they don't do as well as they are capable in their job. Football is an unforgiving job, but in cases like Moyes at Everton, it can improve.
I don't think that many agree with me, but just my two pennies.
The shit going on with his coaching staff was 100% his fault.

I actually like Lambert.  I think he 'gets' Villa in a way that a lot of our more recent managers never did, he's never tried to be 'bigger' than the club, he's never disrespected it or the fans.  I think his intentions are honest, and good.

He has been given an enourmously difficult job to do, and he's been incredibly unlucky when it comes to injuries.  We've had some good wins, and what seems to me like an unusually large proportion of really good goals.

BUT

You can't argue with results, and I don't need to go over how bad they've been.  That alone is enough for him to go.

The really disappointing thing for me is I actually think he has a pretty good eye for players.  With a couple of exceptions, I think all the players hes brought in have shown at least flashes of ability and potential.  But Lambert and his coaching staff have shown no ability whatsoever when it comes to developing young players, and helping them realise their potential.

Thanks Paul, but it aint working.

Good eye for a player?

Case against the defence, I give you

Tonev
Helenius
Bennett
Luna
Lowton
Bowery
Holt
Bacuna. Just forget the two free kicks
Kozak. Looks average to me, but may come good
KEA

That is just a shocking list

Apparently he referred to us as 'they' rather than 'we' when talking about the players and avoiding relegation this season, in his post-match interview. That sounds very past tense because I can't remember him calling them anything other than 'we'.

I bet Helenius goes on to play for Real Madrid.*

This is probably totally meaningless, but whose got a big light blue Rolls Royce with AV 1 as the reg? It's just come from Bodymoor Heath as I passed. I'm
Hoping it's Lerner and he's just been to sack him as they got off the coach !! It could be Doug's car I guess but last time I saw him he was in a maroon one and it didn't have the AV 1 reg ?

Is it Lambert's daughter asking villa fans to unfollow her on twitter?
