Put the bloke out of his (and our) misery and pay him off now, and give Sid one game in charge before lining up someone else in the Summer. Lambert is simply not fit for purpose I'm afraid.

Yes, said he knows nothing about the takeover, Randy will speak next week, he'd love to still be our manager as we are a massive club and deserve better and they haven't been good enough for us.

I can't explain why, but there's still abit of me that would like to see him with some backing to add some quality to help some of these better youngsters grow.

I think it's naivety to assume Lambert would be a better manager with backing. He's nowhere near good enough to manage effectively at this level.

He knows his days are numbered. His quotes about survival being a great achievement are words of a man updating his CV. Things need to change from top to bottom and it sounds like they are.

If Lambert's tenure was to keep the ship afloat whilst Randy prepared for sale, I'll thank him. He's gone into battle with a toothpick and we're still standing

The club needs a clean sweep all over. Ownership, management and the squad.

The big problem there, Duncan, is Lambert isn't the right man to develop the youngsters. I hope we can over the summer find a man that can. There's nothing much worse than seeing talent wasted.

In principle yes, but what would he have to achieve now to outweigh all the negative records, to mention this year's shocking football "style". Can he ever get enough people back on side to make his position tenable?

My previous comment about winning the FA cup every year for the next decade was only partially tongue in cheek.

For me he'd have to deliver something pretty spectacular over the coming seasons, time he'd never get as he'd be constantly walking a tightrope, with every minor failure just another stick to beat him with.

For his own good as well as our own,  time must be up after Sunday.

It really doesn't matter if they replace Lambert but do not change the transfer policy.

We'll maybe do a bit better, but under this regime we are only ever going to be bottom feeders.

That is 4 minutes too much to bear.

Indeed. Remember this was supposed to be a mid table finish and next year a top ten.
