I have just read that interview and changed my vote from yes to no. ( unless we get relegated)

It sounds far more like somebody who has been stymied in what he really wants to do than somebody who is happy with how things have gone.

However, I still don't like his substitution practice, & hope it is better tomorrow.

Actually, I hope that everything is better, tomorrow.
UTV!

Or someone who is trying to appeal to potential employers, secure in the knowledge that both he and his current boss will be gone in the summer.

Well yes, there's always that scenario but I think that PL likes the Villa, hence my interpretation.

He's certainly not been able to do exactly what he wants. However, none of this changes the fact that what he has done has largely been catastrophic.

Given that the difference between staying up or going down will probably hinge on the result of one match, I really don't see the distinction. He's either been good enough over two seasons or he hasn't.

Fact: He hasn't.

I don't know if he has genuine affection for the club or not; it doesn't matter. he's useless.

agreed other than to collect his end of term report card from the Head. Mumbled in class, tactically inept and generally a bit shit. Z-.

It's HT and I think his tactics have been pretty good so far.

Pheeeew, we have been very lucky to find Hull focused on the FA Cup final and, generally speaking, three teams worse than us.

But we can not count eternally on luck.
For the way we played, apart 3 or 4 games, we did not deserve to reach the safety.
And now let's get rid of this clueless, inept Scottish,  and sign a normal manager to try and play an entertaining, attacking, passing football. We are Villa, not Scunthorpe.

P,s. Gus Poyet has done a great job at Sunderland, by the way.

Need money. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, or at least very few can. Another manager with the same finances will more than likely just mean more of the same.

Right now a very important summer begins, whatever happens needs to happen fast and we need a much stronger squad next year.

I want a takeover at the Villa. Fresh investment is sorely needed. This is the important thing. Much more important than whether Lambert goes or stays.
