It's not. Yes It's the best chance we've got of the three games left but it's not a must win game. A point would probably do it.  if it's a cup final it's three legged.

We all know what happens to this side in high pressure cup games so why turn it into one?

Bruce will be loving the desperation vibes.

More than anything, I am sick of being embarassed of Villa.

You can throw the "OMG I AM NEVER EMBARASSED OF MY CLUB!!!11!!" line at me all you like, but the fact is, for the last four years, we have been an absolute embarassment

A shambling wreck under Houllier, an eye wateringly humiliatingly embarassing joke under McLeish, vaguely palatable under Lambert for a short time, and now this absolute basket case of a club just waiting for someone to despatch it with a swiftly aimed club to the head.

I'm sick of it. If I didn't support us, I'd want us to go down so much.

We're a slightly more polished, significantly less intelligent version of Pulis's Stoke City.

We have become Coventry in the seasons before they went down.

Without a shadow of a doubt the club has become an embarrassment. Never in all my years have we been a perennial relegation outfit, but we certainly are now.
This is all down to Lerner and his disgraceful lack of interest. I've said it many times now, if this was Ellis he'd be hung drawn and quartered by now. In fact it would have happened at least 2 years ago. These days we've just become apathetic and just sit there and accept every bit of shit thrown at us.

Lerner is partly to blame, but he has still ploughed huge money into the club the last 3 years in real terms. The team, and the players on the pitch are Lambert's doing. And it has become so abject we are genuinely considering the prospect of played 9, lost 8 to end the season. Which should get any manager the sack, let alone the manager of Aston Villa.

Had he dignity he would walk tomorrow morning and allow the club to try and bounce next week.

But what about the garden?
A few hardy perennials and PL could make a difference.

It has surely gone too far.

If you consider this place as even a remotely representative sample of Villa fans, there is quite literally nobody here saying he should be kept on anymore.

A few perennials would have made the difference, maybe, yes, but everyone has been saying that for two years now, and they did nothing about it.

Sorry Lou, but major surgery is required to remove the weeds.

Napalm or Agent Orange.

First dose to be delivered next Saturday, other things being equal.

I speak as one who has fought Japanese Knotweed.

It's a bugger.

And PL has done his best in a ridiculous situation. We don't know what he would have done in a better one.
I don't like his substitutes but they are ours and all he could get under the circumstances.

Ooh, that's all I can think of,  because I am so pissed off tonight.

The only thing keeping me on board with PL is the team selection today.
I have to believe that Sid'n' Shay were in agreement because they have all been training the lads.
Same thing with the subs. They were chosen after a week or so watching everybody at BH.

I hear we were better in the first half today, but really, do I believe that this team beat Chelsea?
With a lot more oomph and Christian Benteke, yes.

I know we have injuries in the squad but please find alternatives.
You have been there long enough. Inspire them.
