Sack him, and sack him tonight. We need a massive boost for next week and the crowd behind the new guy(presumably Sid). If we go one nil down next week I fear the crowd will turn and the players will crumble. With Sid in charge, the crowd will remain on side.
For me, that could make the difference.
Agree, the fans will have very thin patience if he's still there.  I personally think we should wait till after the match to make our feelings heard, but that just isn't going to happen

If Lerner's too tight to pay him off, he should organise a whip-round.  I reckon we could scrape the money together by Monday night.
Nigel Kennedy must have a few quid, he can get it going, Tom Hanks is frickin loaded, David Cameron can wangle some employment law thing exempting Aston Villa from losing employment tribunals and failing that, Wills will be home soon, he can pay him off alone.  Sorted. I can chuck a tenner in.

This project has went off the boil big-time. I don't recall seeing the words "young and hungry" or similar in any official communication from the club in a while. What was said in the latest press release was "worked within the parameters" or something like that. The reality is that he has tried to find bargains but largely failed; his closest co-operators are suspended; and the owner who hired him are looking to sell. I don't think he is a poor manager, but it seems very unlikely that he'll rediscover his inspiration while at Villa.

If we stay up this season, it will be despite Lerner - despite his mental cost cutting measures, despite his dreadful oversight of the club, despite him sitting the other side of the Atlantic whilst the club disintegrates, and despite his manager seemingly doing nothing whilst his two trusted lieutenants instilled long ball tactics at training sessions, created an atmosphere of misery, and acted like fucking arseholes to the non playing staff.
And people still say he hasn't lost interest.

Apparently when asked who his favourite band were, Paul Lambert answered "Arse".
We think he meant "Elbow"

(Apologies if posted before)

So you think he is a good manager then

On the basis of what exactly?

Lambert's post match interview

that guy is going to have a heart attack. He doesn't have a clue but he obviously is getting upset with it all.
I'd feel sorry for him usually but I'm more concerned with our club.
