I hope that if Lambert stays with us he selects some bright young coaches - perhaps from abroad - whom he'll listen to and guide; coaches who can add real value and be our future. As an experienced manager who purports to be open to new coaching ideas, this current ruck could actually be the making of him if he takes it as an opportunity to do something very different.

I'm of the opinion that the recent events at Villa Park have been described perfectly, by a very articulate member who summed it up with the word "Omnishambles". It seems I agree with that view point, so much so, that when I started reading from page 1 (instead of page 306) I mistakenly read that Learner was offering Lambert a new contract, was happy with how we were "developing" and I didn't even blink an eye - I actually believed these were todays latest developments before I realized. Jesus Mary and Jospeh that is the extent of just how bad it has become!

To be fair it's quite a good game. Maybe the moderators could introduce a forum glitch just to help add to the current surrealness.

We aren't that lucky. Who would quit a management job where you don't have to bother with training and no matter what the results are on the pitch you get a new deal?

This is a complete smoke screen, he has had the job for 2 years and we are in a complete shambles. All down to his appointments on the playing and non playing staff.

There is absolutely no justification for giving him more time, he had his chance, he has blown it, he should follow his mates out the door.

No that's not the case. He is the Manager and if people miss-behave they have to be dealt with mates or not.

I find his reading of how games have gone beyond belief sometimes. After Saturdays game he said it could have gone either way. Well the 90 minutes I watched were obviously different to his because we were shocking.

Playing 5 at the back/midfield formation (I don't think the players knew) and Grant Holt up front isn't going to win you games. With Albrighton and Robinson playing or at least coming on at half time we would have had a better chance than waiting to go 1-0 down to make changes.

If he stays lets expect more of the same next season.
