if its true that Culverhouse coached and picked the team with karsa responsible for tactics, just what is lambert's role? Buying mostly sub standard players who never play? A Swedish website has run a very scathing piece being particularly bewildered by PF's Baghdad Bob statement yesterday and today's events.

I don't think its a shambles. If two people have done something so serious that they need suspending, then what is the club meant to do?

and I agree.

If PL were the cox (bear with me) and 2 of the team were constantly falling out of the boat, swearing at their team and crashing oars into everybody else, the boat would be able to pull together better without them.

I think the question is moving swiftly on from should Lambert be sacked to who should replace him. My vote is for Nigel Adkins formerly of Southampton now of Reading. For a start we might start to pass the ball a bit more.

But if those two plonkers were helping make Villa a shambles then things will improve now they've gone, no?

He was actually my first preference ahead of Lambert, mainly on account of the style of football.

The wider situation is a shambles.

I think the TrentVilla post mentioned on the IC GK thread is the most believable thing I have seen, and explains a lot, but even so, how on earth has it been allowed to get to this mess? They probably have done the right thing in suspending them, but fucking hell, how long has this train crash been happening?

Good chance it was happening when Culverhouse was swearing at the fans.
