Do anyone still think he's a progressive manager that goes out to win games as many have said on here over the last few months?

I still think he goes out to win games. He just doesn't have a clue how to. And as has been mentioned elsewhere the players don't give a shit any more.

If what Charlie Nicholas said yesterday is true ir probably doesn't matter who is manager. In fact, they might as well do without one completely for all the difference it seems to make.

Would another manager get more out of the current group? I think the answer to that is sadly yes.

I honestly do believe there's some very useful players there. They're not crap, they're just not being coached properly. The lack of movement off the ball yesterday was woeful.

The only time we have success is when the opposition come at us as we only know how to play one way. Lambert has a fatal flaw and that is when his ideas are not working he refuses to change, now Albrighton to me is a fairly average player but i give him his dues when he's played the last few games he has put in a shift and given us some sense of direction, after he came on yesterday we had two or three chances, more than we had for the previous seventy five minutes. Its obvious that Lambert doesn't want to play him he doesn't like orthodox wingers and this a problem, we don't have the quality of player to play the way that Lambert wants, we don't have the close control thats neccessary. I refer back to when we had the wingers but no finisher a few years ago Bent came in and we got the goals. If we had played with wingers this season i'm positive Benteke would have scored a lot more goals and we wouldn't be in the shit now.

While it's 0-0 Lambert will do nothing even if we are being outplayed. It's always the other manager looking for the win.

Anyone here about what Charlie Nicholas said on Soccer Saturday:

"I have it on very good authority from a mutual friend of ours, that Paul has been exceptionally close to deals for Barry, Lukaku, Sissoko, Holtby and Coutinho, only to have them fail at boardroom level. He knows what he needs to do, but I'm not sure the structure put in place there will ever allow him to do any better. He'd be the first to admit he's not doing great, but I'm told he's getting frustrated by the lack of ambition. It's a big summer because he's kept his part of the bargain now. I think he'll walk away if he's not given funds."

    Interesting.

Said that a close friend who is a mutual friend of Lambert told him he had put together deals for Lukaku, Barry, Sissoko, Coutinho but had them blocked at boardroom level.

I remember Lambert saying they tried to get Lukaku here but "they couldn't make the wages work". That was when he subsequently went to Albion.

It's bullshit. He's come out in his own words and categorically denied being in for some of those players. Lambert is in self preservation mode now.

Odd comments here. Rumours there. Lowering amounts of fees for players. He's going to try and make himself look better than he is from now on until the chop.

Some of them are decent but a lot of them are mediocre. However, the problem we have is that Lambert doesn't even get the mediocre results you'd expect from such players.

While it's 0-0 Lambert will do nothing even if we are being outplayed. It's always the other manager looking for the win.

One thing he could have done yesterday for example was take off Holt and a centre half, bring on Tonev and Albrighton to play out wide and play Gabby through the middle. It would have been 4-3-3 and look more like the counter attacking style we play. At least it would have been imaginative and even if it hadn't worked, at least it's trying something different. Instead he waited until they scored then threw on two attackers in a hope of getting a point. All very predictable.

Sack him. Cowans in to try and inspire one win in the remaining games, which would be enough to stay up.

Well, this must be what Lambert was referring to when he mentioned things going on we don't know about.

What so Lambert told Charlie Nicolas to make those comments?  How does that work?
