How many Villa managers have been worse than Lambert? i'll start with McNeill.
Next?

I'd still put O'Leary in there.

Richard, what point are you trying to prove when telling people you knew all along this how it would end up? None of us really know how things are going to turn out, and if you end up being right or wrong it still doesn't mean you knew it all along. Right now, I don't see any value in scoring points. We should all be in this together, and for the first time most people on here are of the same opinion. It's not a good day.
TV you are the only one trying to score points and start on people tonight.

It's a normal night then.

Blimey, I figured it wouldn't be too long before you stepped in. I fully expect within a post or two for you to advise me that my posts aren't relevant because I don't go to the games. I know you want to.

You know very well that it is yourself who waits in the wings to have a go at other posters, backed up by a couple of others who have yet to arrive tonight. You are not a moderator but seem to act as if you are. Why is that?

I don't. Not even close. You give off an air of arrogance because you go to games. You've made a number of comments recently that are just throw away yet delivered in a manner suggesting "I know something you lot don't". Why is that?

I may know something but there is no point mentioning it here because it gets slagged off. Now, don't change the subject please, why do you act as if you are so superior to everyone else?

I answered the question in my first sentence Dave. I suggested that you were talking complete bollocks in suggesting that I was acting like a mod. Or indeed superior to anyone which is enormously rich coming from you.

Worst statistically or biggest wanker?

Don't know about the stats, but DoL certainly wins the second award in my eyes.

Excuse me for butting into your dispute but I completely disagree.  You and Richard in particular seem to be revelling in how right you've been all along.  I've found your tone hostile and provocative when referring to or addressing anyone who might not have been as clever as you (ie. anyone who hasn't been calling Lambert a "moron" and an "idiot" for at least a year).  Toronto has, relatively speaking, come across as a voice of reason, and your reaction is to be smug and condescending.  I've seen a few of you do this on here recently; you fuel an argument with a vociferous outburst, and then have the nerve to claim the moral high ground when a few more level-headed people take exception to your attitude.  And then you back each other up with a grin and a wink and it's other people who "hunt in packs".  You don't come across as being overly pleasant.  Sorry if that takes the edge of your champers but I felt the urge to say it.

I now await you all proving my point with your accusations of wanting to be a moderator, waiting in the wings, being sanctimonious, all that guff.  You can set your clock by it, eh DC5?

I'm revelling in it big time as you say. Oh and you're right, I'm not overly pleasant. I do like you though

I've changed the poll.

If you have any complaint about it, then the final option is for you.

Lambert is every bit as bad as the ones you've mentioned. Get a grip, mate.

In fairness, Docherty became our manager 46 years ago, so even if that list was accepted, that's only five men in almost half a century. And I'd quibble about Venglos. Yes, that was an awful season, but at least there was only one of them.

If we hired a complete wanker of a manager who puts us top 6, I'll be more than happy to put up with him. McLeish seemed a decent bloke but was bloody awful. Lambert seems alright and the ultimate goal he wants seems right, but he's just clueless.

Lambert for me is in the TSM, Turner, McNeill region. DOLLY for all his faults and being a prick, took a relegation threatened side in a bit of a mess and had them finish 6th in his first season, and a fair degree of style.

O Neill was a tosspot too and his buggering off a week before the season will never be forgiven but three 6th placed finishes can't be sniffed at.

Maybe we need to hire a dickhead again.

We'll probably fall over the line again this season. He should get a new contract but only if and when we are top of the table going into the new year. Two years of transition is enough. It has to start paying off big time next season. If we're bumbling along then he gets the sack, there's been enough notice to line up a new guy and the new guy gets a transfer window to do a bit of nip and tuck.

Voted for now as I think his time is up here. I don't want to wait till the summer and suffer more painful defeats.
