He's been unlucky with injuries,I'm sure we would have a few more points at least if Okore,Kozak and Nzogbia had been available all season
.The more puzzling thing is his apparent stubborness in the tactics he uses and certain players being totally out of the picture. We don't have a choice as I am sure he will still be here next season,I will go to every game but not as a season ticket holder as the club need reminding that this is a competitive sport that we go to watch, not a religious pilgrimage (although that is what it's felt like for a lot of the last few years).

well he stays I go

Turn it in you big drama llama.

If that's how he feels that's how he feels.

If somebody rigidly sticks to the line that all's well and we have been going fine as a club they shouldn't be sneered at either.

I am not sneering, I am telling a man well into his fifties, who will have seen far batter and far worse times, to strap a pair on and drop the hormonal teenage girl flouncing act.

Why do  the majority of your Pro Lambert posts have to include telling people to grow testicles and suck it up? I find very few Anti Lambert posters keep ramming it down people throats that if you support him you are deluded, up his arse etc etc or any such offensive terms but one of your main points when backing him is to question someone else testicular fortitude or sneer they are bed wetters. Grow up and stop being a smart arse.

We were discussing Lambert on the way back yesterday. Personally I think unless we somehow manage to get ourselves relegated which is not going to happen, i'd give him another transfer window to bring some more faces in. If we're still having a similar inconsistent season where we're also losing to lower league teams in the cup,  then he can't have too many complaints if he's let go.

I will happily tell anybody to strap a pair on when I see somebody unmanning themselves in a Mrs Lovejoy fashion. I bet he has been sitting down to take a wee of late too.

Oh somebody think of the children!

The key point here, that you have missed from your lofty equine perch is that I didn't lower the discussion with an hormonal "it's him or me!" nonsense, which was made nonsense with the I have been going for 50 years spiel.

Maybe we need more compelling analysis of "it's fucking shit" to persuade people further.

If he was actually utterly useless and clueless we'd have been relegated last season and bottom of the Championship this season.

He's been unlucky regarding the three players I mentioned is a fact.He does get out thought tactically on a regular basis is also a fact. The point I was making is with Lerner in charge he will be here next season,he's not totally useless but to say there's room for improvement is an obvious understatement, but that apples to our club in general from the top down.

I'd be careful if I were you. You're in danger of straying into 'rational thought' territory and where would we be then?

I admit there's a chance Lambert might improve as a manager, but his biggest failing, (in my opinion) an inability to find ways to beat average-poor-lower league opposition at home shows no sign of improving.

Forgive me for thinking Villa should not be a managerial training camp where fans have to sit and watch months of dross while the manager learns the basics. Can't we just appoint a manager who knows what he is doing?

We were all buzzing a couple of weeks ago and now it's back to the familiar. The blame for that lies squarely with Lambert and the players. 2 spankings against not very good teams is really poor. Sadly in the nearly 2 seasons he's been here the norm is crap and the good performances are too few and far between. I wouldn't object to him being sacked but I'm prepared to give him another season if he gets the chance. If we're still having these conversations in 12 months time he's got to go.

The loss of Okore has been huge. He would have been well settled now had he not suffered that horrible injury. We would have been able to play a lot higher line and squeezed the opposition more, given that he is so darn quick, plus the boy plays football and doesn't whack it clear. A massive loss.

While I agree that it was unfortunate it seems a bit much to have so much certainty about someone who'd played 3 full games (2 of which were lost) before he got injured. Lambert also could have signed another centre back, perhaps on loan, in January if he thought it was having such an impact.
