I think Lambert is tactically inconsistent like his team. On occasions he's played a blinder. On occasions he's got it all wrong.

But mostly he's got it wrong.

Agree with this. Inconsistent just like the team.

Why do we insist and falling over ourselves to be the most pissed off at the home form, while ignoring the away form?  They all got into the same table at the end of the season, one which presently has us in mid table and most likely will after 38 games are played.

Why, because most fans watch us at home, and the home form is totally unacceptable.

So, if the home and away forms were reversed, we'd all be happy bunch of campers?

Well no, seeing how we've picked up the same amount of points away from home.

So, we've got an even amount of points home and away and sit mid table overall?

Sorry, but as we rebuild the playing side of things I find it hard to be angry with that.

We've lost 9 home games already this season and you're not even the slightest bit angry with that?

You can't expect people to be angry just because you're angry. Support dosen't work like that.

I never said that. Please don't put words into my mouth.

Well you did, you asked the poster why he's not angry with us losing 9 home games.

What I find most annoying about Lambert is the constant resort to the long ball anytime things aren't going well. It was totally frustrating to see us hoof the ball up the pitch when every Stoke player seemed to be at least 6ft 5. It was food and drink for them, and quite pathetic from us.

You've got to be some kind of masochist not to be angry with that.

I don't think that is by instruction though, at least not by Lambert.  I feel the hoofball is more a symptom of having a young and mentally fragile team i.e. it's is the easier option than trying to pass the ball (to often hiding players).

The question I hope Lambert is asking himself is how he can reverse that.  The simplest solution is to buy experience however with limited funds the experience may not come with adequate footballing quality to improve the team.  Anotherr option, if you believe what Team SKY (and others) have said, is that this confidence and mental toughness can be acquired through the use of good sports psychologists.  I'd like to think that this can be explored as the team and individually the players have shown flashes of brilliance.

I'm not sure about you but I'll never be happy with 9 league defeats at home in any season at Aston Villa. In fact it's down right unacceptable. How's that for perspective?

We've had 4 years of rubbish, how long more will we have to wait for things to change?

There are a number of emotions one could feel about the home form, which i would share, such as disappointment, concern, frustration. Anger, to me, is a very strong emotion, and, in my opinion should be kept for the really important things in life. Just because someone isn't angry with the home form doesn't automatically mean that they're happy with it, or that they're nodding dogs, or whatever it is you like to throw around at people who disagree with you on certain points.
