just seen the poll on here, 83% of posters want him sacked or are undecided !

I didn't realise there were so many wanting him gone to be honest
That may have been because the poll was from before the Norwich game (I think).

Not that my vote has changed since that game. I'll be re-appraising my vote in May.

No he means at the moment only 17% say he shouldn't be sacked .
Ah yes, just noticed it actually has changed. I'm pretty sure a couple of weeks ago it was something like 80% flat out wanted him out.
But yeah, I'll make me decision after the final, final whistle this season. There's still time to finish in style.

On the basis of two magnificent performances I now wanna change my vote to keep Lambert. Dunno how to though. Can a grown-up do it for me please?

Voting has been re-set so go for it. It's a bit like Runaround where they had a last chance to change their minds.

I remain undecided. Same as I didn't panic when we were crap for weeks at a time, a few wins don't make everything fine either. I'm further away from the fence again though I will admit.

I don't think a no vote needs to indicate all is well. It just represents an acknowledgement that we should maybe give this a little more time; that we can now see the shoots of the brighter future they've been banging on about.

Who says modern football is ridiculously short term and reactive eh?

I've never wanted him sacked, but I'm not sure if I voted last time. As I've said all along, we're a young team, will take a few hits on the way, but the results are improving gradually. Lambert's also very headstrong to keep faith in his transfer policy as well as in players who have had periods of terrible form. We'll do well under him, I'm sure.

We'll see where we are come the end of the season, but we've shown in recent weeks against Liverpool, WBA, Norwich and now Chelsea that we have it in us to play well and win by showing some ambition, some composure and using our strengths. Keep the ball on the ground too and we can be effective. Likewise Westwood is finding form again and KEA is earning his keep now.

If we have a decent finish and bring in 3-4 first 11 quality players we'll be better next season and perhaps in the position Southampton or Newcastle are in now. We've seen just how badly a loss of Vlaar and Benteke (in form too) can be. We need adequate cover. Likewise we need quality in midfield to push Westwood and KEA, but also to cover Delph should he get injured.

Something I've complained about in all of Lambert's tenure is the lack of defensive organisation. Yesterday was the first time I can remember thinking that we actually looked like a solid side. It didn't look likely that Chelsea would score.

I've changed my mind again. Back him with good money in the summer and see what he does with it. If we struggle again next season then it's time for the chop, but he deserves a chance to spend money on Premier League quality players. No more reliance on lower league players!

He's built a solid platform now SH and we are starting to see that emerge from even those players we doubted could make the grade. Yesterday the likes of Weimann, Baker, KEA, Westwood all grew a foot in experience and confidence. They will all be here next season and they will only benefit from having 3 or 4 top pros coming into the club. I think that will be the goal of the summer because I believe the years of just picking from the bargain bucket are over.

We know that Weimann can do even better. When Benteke and him are on song, they are unstoppable.

Yesterday was great but drawing any conclusions from one match is unwise.

That's something we need to keep in the back of our minds as we've shown at various points in the last two seasons that we can pull a performance out of the bag, only to then go and  fuck it up with a terrible showing after.

For now let's just enjoy a very good performance and a great result.

I mentioned this else where but yesterday, as in all our more impressive results we worked our balls of to won the ball back. When we do that and refrain from lumping it long we look a much better side.

What he needs to do is get us doing that all the time rather than in matches we are extra pumped up for.

It makes such a huge difference to us as a team and isn't something that is going to cost us millions to fix

we played some lovely stuff yesterday on the deck. Even when it was 11 vs 11. I think it's when we get lazy and desperate we resort to hoofing if to Benteke but when we knock it about into space we actually look like a proper football team. We did it yesterday against a side that cost 10 times what ours did to put together.

One swallow does not a summer make, but it was good to catch a glimpse of the swallow.
