Laudrup time

Laudrup or Ronald koeman - if koeman has expressed an interest in the Swansea job then I'm sure he would come to villa .

I only saw the last 20 mins, what was the possession like today?

Pretty even, mostly based on a half-hour/forty minute spell where we absolutely dominated. Newcastle were terrible from their tactics to their performance. We really fell back though, an unforgivable turnaround.

Personally, I think the majority of the squad hate Lambert. There's no way a bunch of players that are individually this bad can have ended up at the same club at the same time. Put a decent manger in there and we'll canter to safety.

I guess that's a very minor plus.

Don't think many complained when we got him, but it's not happening. I could hack it more if I could see what we were trying to do.

Under GH it was pass and keep it and under TSM it was defend in numbers, but what on earth is PL's plan?

Lerner got it wrong with TSM, but MON, GH and PL weren't bad appointments when looked at who was available and who would want to come. Think Lerner takes some unfair stick in that regard. Seems more moan because he's not spent money on players, but not many do apart from the obvious.

I do wonder whether he has lost the dressing room.

Hmm...a ready made team or Villa?

We need a Graham Taylor style figure to come in and sort Randy and the entire club out. We are just a complete mess right now. I just don't see such a figure lurking on the horizon.

But what decent manager would come to Villa knowing how small his budget would be?
That's the real reason we've been so shit for the last 4 seasons. You can't run a PL club on Championship style money and expect to compete. The proof is in the pudding.

Do i want Lambert gone at the end of the season? Yes. Do i want him gone now? Yes.

I think the big question is are we more likely to stay up this season with him in charge or without, and i have to say I think we'd do better without.

When Dick Van Wolfswinkle scores for the first time in about 200 games and then Snodgrass gets their second the crowd will turn big time next week.

Because Laudrup was pulling up trees at Swansea before he left.  We wouldn't want Laudrup out within 6 months at all, no way.

After January, I was kind of looking forward to the Norwich game. After this weekend, I'd like to postpone it indefinitely.
