Forget the new contract - the question in the poll now quite rightly is should he be sacked - and the answer is YES.

This then poses the usual question of who to replace him with - Ronald koeman has said this week he wants to manage in the premiership so give him the chance , he was vlaars manager at feyenoord and couldn't be worse than lambert.

No more young british managers please - lets look to the continent and try a fresh approach.
If he would go to swansea I'm sure he would go to villa .

I am gutted it has come to this, I really thought he was the man for the job.  I suppose that's why it has took me so long to ask for him to be sacked.

Either way I think a huge number of fans are just so disillusioned with things right now and that can't be a good thing. But is it making any difference? Is Randy listening? Should we be making more fuss? Protesting, not renewing season tickets?

It seems so counter productive but what alternative is there? Like many have said before, it's not the losing, it's the huge lowering of expectations. We're light years below where we should be.

But Lambert certainly is not doing a good job and anything that might bring about a change in our style of play and form has to be a good thing right?

If the question is 'should we sack him now' I am undecided possibly leaning towards 'no'. I would probably say yes if it was a question of sacking him at the end of the season.

I always want us to appoint the right man for Aston Villa, rather than Mr Available Now. Better managers tend to be in work and are less likely to leave their club in February during the season and as such there is more choices available in the summer as well as more time for the club's leadership to deliberate over making the right choice. Honestly, the prospect of Lerner and Faulkner searching for a manager in mid-season worries me deeply. I think it is also interesting how Spurs (and possibly Swansea who may give Monk the job there) have appointed from within demonstrating a feeling that they aren't especially keen on the available choices.

Where it becomes difficult is if we sink further into the relegation battle and Lambert continues to fail to affect a positive change in our performances. If that happens we'll need to move before it becomes too late.

Sadly I think Lerner's only ambition at Villa is to keep us in the PL and even if we stay up by the skin of our teeth Lambert will be seen as a success by the chairman.
That's the most depressing part of it.

I've been saying it for a while, there are too many things he does wrong. I am not willing to have a manager and a set of players learning on the job with a small chance of them maturing into what we need.

There is very little he has done that I cannot be critical about. The job was a step up too far, a big club in crisis being led by a rookie untried manager is not a good recipe.

The first 12 games or so when the performances dropped off the rebuke was compare them to the same results as last season. Then it developed into we are still 10th and now I don't know what the excuse is. All I know is the football I see is lacking in so many basics that its infuriating and I don't know what he does that gives me any confidence of a result.

Sack him please.

The thing is, our budget may be shit, but ultimately, Lerner does give managers the freedom to implement whatever they want - at least that's how it seems. Considering that freedom then, how the fuck can our team be so shit? What do they do in training? Why are they so ineffective on the pitch? Why do they lack confidence? These are down to the management team and for me, they can all do one as they've shown they are incompetent over nearly two seasons now.

What I said earlier:

I'm still undecided but am spending more time looking into yes garden these days and thinking they have quite a nice lawn and i'd like to play on it. The other garden I just look up in the air to try and see where Guzan has hoofed it.

If the question is 'should we sack him now' I am undecided possibly leaning towards 'no'. I would probably say yes if it was a question of sacking him at the end of the season.

That is my standpoint.

My list of reasons to persist with him is pretty much empty now, but I think sacking him now would just increase the likelihood of going down, and I'd rather not do that if we can avoid it.

However, unless there is an improvement between now and the end of the season of the magnitude of the one we had last season, then I really do think we should bin him in the summer.

It's not just the fact that we haven't progressed. We've gone backwards. It's also not just the fact we've gone backwards, we've got significantly worse. Further to that, we have a squad which is ever more full of utter mediocrity which was bought by himself.

All of this, though, matters not a jot. We're so far away from ever sacking him, we're actually offering him more fucking money.

That is the most worrying thing, right there.

I'm bored of this now, he should go. We are now a pathetic attacking force and consistently failing to win.

Surely certain members of the backroom team can do a better job than this dour, mumbling, half-witted Bradford city losing fuckwit? We dont need to recruit as urgently as we need to rid the club of this charlatan.

Sack the incoherent, thick twat now. He's made me almost past caring if we get relegated. In fact, I become more and more convinced it would actually do us good as we might also get rid of our stay away don't care owner as well. This is all just so wretched, so boring, so embarrassing.
