More than anything, a new contract would be a kick in the nuts for fans - saying that this isn't just what they'll accept, they're actually happy with this rubbish.

Rewarding failure, why??

I hope there's a relegation clause in it!

I'm trying to be positive and all I can think of is that Lerner should:

1 Sack Paul Lambert
2 Appoint Graham Taylor to the Villa Board to show Paul Faulkner how to manage a football club
3 Get John Gregory from Crawley Town
4 Sell the Club

I'll settle for 1 and 4. Not sure about the other two.

Michael Laudrup is sat there doing nothing. Sadly I don't think our manager is the sole problem, the board is equally to blame.  I doubt they would approach a Laudrup or even a Malky McKay.

On the football side, I have even less confidence in the board than I do the manager.

No but the short term, pressing problem is how do we avoid relegation. I think the removal of Lambert is an essential part of the solution.

I really wanted Lambert to be the manager who sorted us out and gave the club some stability.  Looking at the last few months of results I think we are going to be very lucky to avoid the drop for the third season running so something has to change.
I have tried to be positive and have given the manager as much support as I could. What can we change at this moment in time?
Not the owner.
Not the players.
The manager is the only thing we can change, so is it time to sack Lambert and get someone else in? If we do sack him who could we get in that would be an improvement?
Sadly I think we need to take the chance and find someone else, wonder what Gary McAllister is up to?

Can we add a poll?

Lambert is clueless and needs to be sacked immediately.
