We finished up last season taking 4 points out of 27.
We are in another run where we have taken 3 points out of 27.

This is not a one off event.
It's become fucking normality.

Why can't the twats in charge of our club see this? Do they just not understand?
Lambert needs to be gone, and he needs to be gone now.

The pro-Lambert support always reminds me of the people who come out of the woodwork on Twitter when there is a jumper or someone who has brought a train line to a halt.....and a city centre grinds to a standstill for 3 or 4 days.....

"Oh...the poor man...he's misunderstood.....let's give him more hugs......"
That is some offensive bullshit.

Isn't it just, I get the feeling from recent posts they are spoiling for a bit of an argument for some strange reason.

I do feel a bit sorry for Lambert, although not as sorry as I feel for the shirt guy, or for suicides. Let's not be mental, now.

But isn't this how it starts? When things start to boil over with fans they some start to get angry. If there are others not at the same level of rage it releases itself as CB's post. It may die out or gather pace. Tuesday night is going to be pivotal for Lambert with more fans either backing him or wanting him sacked immediately. We lose and the latter will become more vocal.

Surely people can get angry at the manager without posting something ridiculously ignorant about suicide?

I was once riding the Central Line when a man decided to jump.  He must have hesitated and did not jump on to the tracks but between the platform and the train.   His face in death passed about two feet from mine.   Not a suitable subject for levity under any circumstances.

Oh, sorry, haven't read the past few pages so may have missed something. I was just replying to a point about making excuses for Lambert.

Actually I just read the post I thought I was replying - nah, didn't read it in full.

That's why it will be a draw . We don't know where we are at . Just Lambert to stay longer after the match.

Helping to take down the body of a twenty year old that had hung himself behind me about 45 minutes before and me not hearing a thing.  That is an image that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Holding the hand of a twelve year old boy as he died having been hit by a fuel tanker outside my place of work is another image I'll never forget.

Neither of the above or instances of similar ilk are reasons for flippancy.

Bloody hell Dave, that's horrendous, a friend of mine is still struggling three years after finding another friend who took his own life.

He should, but he won't. Plus if he did, who would replace him?

Well The hard (and very depressing) stats are.

In 50 games from the start of last season we've accumulated 49 points scoring 45
goals on our way to a goal difference of -31 (38 game average gives 37 points.)

The rolling 38 game total is 36 points with a goal difference of -30 (scored 32)

The 38 game prediction based on the last 19 games says 34 points with a goal difference of -38 scoring 22.

The 38 game prediction based on the last 10 games says 23 points with a goal difference of -50 scoring 11.

It's getting worse with no sign of improving.

We're now approaching Derby like levels.

I voted "Give him till Christmas". Don't know why. Maybe because I for some reason liked Lambert and think he could have been a good manager in another life. But it seems as if he has given up long ago. A shame, because I think that this season he he has the best set of players he'll ever have at Villa.

I've noticed this stock answer on here lately that the team is better than the performances. I think a new manager would get slightly better performances out of the players but let's not pretend they're uncut diamonds. I think most of them are out of their depth and are no better than Championship material. I've been saying this since day one. The cutbacks inflicted on us by Lerner over the last 5 seasons is the cause of all our woes and sadly this is the way it's going to be till we're sold.
I think our first eleven is a comfortably mid-table team. We have two problems: firstly, a squad with no depth of skilled players; secondly, Lambert and his tactical / motivational deficiencies.
