5pm today?

I've managed to sneak into that restaurant and have sellotaped myself under the table. Oh, they're just coming in....

American voice: "So the General said, 'Do that again and I'll cut your motherfucking balls off'"

Laughter.

Scottish voice: "Mumble, mumble"

More laughter.

American voice: "So gentlemen, thanks for coming all this way. Sorry about the trouble getting in the car park but they had to change the access number after some bozo rang up earlier asking for the Post Code!"

Laughter.

Scottish voice "Mumble!"

More laughter.

American voice: "Anyway, this is my plan for the sell off. I've been speaking to Meryl Streep and she wants me to sell it to... Hang on a minute.... Paul F, are you texting someone?"

"No".

"Give me that phone".

"No".

"Give me that damn bitch of a phone now!"

Sounds of struggle.

American voice: "Right, lets see.... Now, who the fuck is Eastie?"

Just wondering if it debunked that guy on the other site.

actually, Eastie is on holiday at the moment. Big fanfare about being so on TBAR just as news broke of nothing much with RL's statement. As for the other chap, Marque-Marc or someone like that, has revealed there is a secret underground car park that does need a code, after another poster pointed out that the regular Meeting House car park does not have gates or barriers, coded or otherwise.

I know the timing if Lambert is fired isn't perfect but the season has ended, players are either on holiday or preparing for the World Cup. I don't think it creates that much disruption really. It also might indicate that the sale of the club is not too far off.

What if the sale is some way off - or no sale in sight?

What do we then do?

That's where it gets trickier, I think.

That's why I suggested that the sale might be close if indeed it did happen. My question really is how important is a manager at this stage of the year? If we are going to go a little bit of time without a manager wouldn't this be the very best time for it? Like everyone I hope the sale discussions have not only started but are well underway that any decision being made makes some sense in how things play out.

I honestly don't get why they're so excited.

Everyone knows they've gone to That America to see Randy.

Is the excitement that they've booked the restaurant for the day? I don't see what there is to be read in to that, I really don't. Perhaps they just wanted some peace and quiet?

Do people think it's because Faulkner and Lambert are going to face some big group of new owners and get introduced or something daft?

what happens if PL goes and good bids are put in for certain players before a new man arrives?. A bit like Ireland in reverse? That scenario could be very worrying if PF is conducting the orchestra.

You'd hope so.

You'd think he wouldn't have said anything if a sale wasn't close. This is, however, Randy we're talking about. It is far from the first time they've done odd PR (I mean, that statement itself which the who Sunnamite thing, FFS).

If I still smoked, my tab intake would be through the roof this close season.

I don't smoke Paulie, but might take it up or go with something a little harder if this stretches late into June

I read that and I presumed he was taking the piss but judging by how big a berk he comes across, i'm not so sure.

I thought that the underground car park was meant as a joke.  The picture of the car park entrance does reveal a barrier, on the left hand side which is up.

That's more or less my take on it as well.

Right now it would be better to have no manager at all than one who knows he'll be out the door as soon as the new gaffer arrives. Then if we're still short by the start of the season, put Sid in charge. I'd imagine Randy is hopeful of concluding a sale by then.
