This unseen, behind-the-scenes work appears not to involve much football training.
I heard Faulkner has prepared a 50 slide powerpoint presentation to update us all at the annual awards dinner!

I am sure he will manage to get a few slides in talking about his work with the FA and his trustee status at the Birmingham library. He is always very diligent about telling us about his self promoting activities outside of his fucking job.

I still think Lambert can do a good job for us.  he just needs to sign premiership quality players on premiership wages.

That's where he needs help from Lerner.

"A lot of teams would like to be where we are."

Which teams exactly?
About 7 or 8 who are below us?

there is a nats dicks difference between us all ,maybe they might envy Southampton . I do

Me to. I just really hope this summer we are not just purchasing underwhelming squad fillers on a tinpot wages as this teams needs a boost. If we don't then really it does not matter who is in charge of team affairs.

Admire that optimism, personally I think a manager who has failed to buy a Premiership quality midfielder in four transfer windows & wasted 7m on a striker we didn't need when anyone can see we need a creative player is a charlatan.

Hope you are right because he is the apple of Randy's eye

Which I believe is coming this summer because financially we will be a much better position. Now, if all we sign are Ligue 2 or players from the lower leagues in England I'll pass all you lot to the "What the Fuck is going on" bandwagon.

As stated before IMO, there are people who post on here who have cast off toe nails with more footballing knowledge than he. To quote Irish Villain our on field football has been an Omnishambles since he became C.E.O.

I'm sure coming from his background he would appreciate that 'The Product' has not been of required standard, not that is appears to bother the person that runs the club i.e. him.

TV income increase had nothing to do with him par se. I'd like to see how our other streams compare to 'rivals'.

I'll give him his dues on safe standing.

We are between a rock and a hard place. Keep Lambert and continue to see mediocrity - Southampton / Coventry in the 80's and 90's. Not keeping him means Faulkner recruits another manager.

Neither bear thinking about.

I hope so too, Randy need to give him 100 million plus a decent wage limit if we are to even get back to the top 7 or 8.

Why will the position be much better financially?

Given has spent half the season on loan, Bent has gone, Ireland has gone for good and is never coming back. I know they were sapping money for fuck all, but we're hardly the only PL club to have unwanted players who do nothing.

I am surprised so many people seem to think that now we've spent two years hacking away at the wage bill and got it where they want it, we are going to embark on some expensive plan to stop being so shit. This is the policy they are going to stick with.

It's not as if those players are likely to be the difference between what we are doing now and a considerable change in emphasis. It will be improved when they've gone, but if you are looking for a marked change, I suspect you're going to be disappointed.

Even if Randy gives him the money, how will that address Lambert's clear tactical shortcomings?

I noticed in recent times mention of contracts for players has taken a back burner ..we will wait till the summer ..plenty of time to think about that..

Yet now it's Lambert's contract its all go midseason in the middle of a frankly awful run in general.

Why not? That's what I believe will happen. You have taken up the position of cynic which is fine if that's where you stand. I think that they would much rather do their shopping in the summer and not pay inflated fees or wages in January.
