Lambert coming onto the pitch at the and telling the players to applaud the fans after a dismal 0-0 draw against the might of Southampton. What a desperate loser.
The sooner he's out of our club the better.

I don't have a problem with him doing that. The players should show their appreciation whatever the result.

I not so sure. It looked to me that he was out there celebrating a point.

To be honest, so was I.

We've all been celebrating that point, that's how low we've sunk...

True. A performance and result that in a good season would be one of the poorer displays felt satisfying compared to the numerous shambolic defeats we have witnessed. I lost count of how many times before the match I saw resigned shrugs accompanied by the comment "I'd take a point".

I'd like to go on record, that yesterday was my final straw. I'd like to see him moved on.

It was a appalling display - the first half was one of the worst I've ever seen from a Villa team in all my years.
This is what our "young and hungry" policy has given us.

It really was. I thought there was a stark resemblance too a DOL side.

The very least I expected yesterday was a motivated team with two new coaches and a more hands on approach from the manager. We got yet another performance synonymous with the last two seasons under Lambert's tenure.

Maybe it wasn't Culverhouses's fault after all?

In my opinion this Villa team is worse than anything O'Leary inflicted onto us.

It is brought up on here a lot about TSM punching the air after the point against Stoke. This is Lambert's TSM moment.

Yeah it thought the Cowans and Given appointments would give us a lift, but if anything we looked even more subdued.

To be fair to Lambert there was no celebration at the final whistle.

The problem now is there is very little confidence left in the side.Weimann and Gabby on particular don't look at it.Baker is another looking nervy.Albrighton was for the most part dragging the team through the game attacking wise , anything good game through him he is the only attacking player we have currently who believes in himself.

Take Bacuna out of it and none of the defenders have scored which questions our set piece training which goes back to the manager again.

The important thing yesterday was not to lose again so if they did come across as subdued then that may have been it.

I agree.
It was a time to stop the rot. I'm sure that the week they have all just endured will have had some effect to a certain degree.
There is nothing worse than working in a bad atmosphere. It takes time to rid events of the past so quickly.

The difference is that with McLeish, we were winning that game till ten minutes left, only to concede and draw. That's a different dynamic at work than grinding out a goalless draw.

I don't think anyone, even Lambert, is happy to see us looking so desperately devoid of ideas, but I think all of us - including Lambert - were glad we at least took a point from a team which is better than us, especially in the departments where we are so weak.

0-0 is something to build on for next week. I'd be very happy with another 0-0 at Swansea quite honestly.

Yep. A clean sheet next week and we can reach for the Creme de Menthe
