any takers on the final score? You have to think both defences will take a shot to the ear but I reckon 5-4 to us

I wouldn't be surprised if it stayed 3-3 now.  It's rare you get back to back halves like that.
Yes. It will stay 3-3 I reckon

It would be nice to be 5 points back of Southampton and 8 clear of West Ham tonight

This picture perfectly encapsulates why we are so shite at the back.  Why are the two centre backs on the same blades of grass?

What a strike from Delph as well - really positive after that half , best ive felt during a home game since the sunderland match.

Anyone not watching I advise to stay up late and watch the highlights - this has been a classic.

I was at the game in 1983 when we were 3-3 at half time against this lot. We won 4-3 that day, I'd be happy to take that tonight.

Me too. 1st game of the season. A stripey nicked my pie outside the chippy that is now part of the strip park behind the corner of the Witton & Holte.

Vlaar has been hobbling around all first half after Anichebe went through him. Doesn't look right.

Ok Villa.

You have had your half time cup of tea.

Lets tear into them again.

I genuinely fear a goal every time Westwood, Bacuna or El-Ahmadi attempt to pass to a team-mate. Not because Albion are brilliant, but because I expect a massive fuck-up.
Aside from his slightly farcical goal and a great pass to Benteke, Bacuna has been poor. I'm not sure playing that AM role suits him because his touch is abysmal. I wouldn't mind have him as the mop up man in midfield or out wide to use his pace, but he hasn't get the technique to be playing behind the front two.

I'd take KEA off, bring on Albrighton, and put Bacuna back to help out Westwood.

If we replace KEA and Westwood with two better players, I think that helps our defence and our attack and we'll look a better side. It's unlikely. The best we can hope for is a last ditch signing of Hoolahan this window, but we should be a bit ambitious. Buy two decent mids and make a good push for top 8. Southampton and maybe Newcastle's places could be there for the taking.

There's some potentially pornographic photoshopping to be done there I think.

They have absolutely no idea how to handle Benteke.
