I watched Fulham play today. Jesus. Whether we lose tomorrow or not there is no way we (or WBA) can be worse than the Fulham pensioners.

Bloody awful.
yep the same Fulham that beat us. Which is frigtening

I feel that this is the season decider, the crossroads that points to the future.
If we get 3 points today, positive things are possible:
  • we are a team that at least aspire to cross the table gap and join the top 9 Euro contender clubs.
  • home games might be fun to watch again.
  • defence might save us future points and not the reason we lose them.
  • improved passing game might link up attackers that have been beached like stranded whales on a island.

If we fail to get all  3 points:
  • relegation battle awaits
  • Villa Park gets to be the place for venting frustration directly at the team and not the haven where players feel support.
  • January transfer window will be regarded as "opportunity lost.

I have a feeling this calendar year could be where we sort out our home form... probably jinxed it now though.

And absolutely terrifying for Arsenal and Manchester City.

The reality is so many of the teams in the bottom half will struggle to even make 40 points, hopefully we have enough about us to do that so I'm not worried about relegation at all.

Not when just a point will get us back in 10th, that should be the target this season.

Is Gabby Roslin any good at the rear as we could do with that?

Even though I know how bad we are at home, I can't stop thinking we're gonna beat them comfortably. It feels a bit like the Sunderland game last season, which I didn't go to, so maybe I should stay away!

I'm the same. I'm going tonight. Don't recall the last time I saw Villa win at home when I was there.

edit:

Last home league match I've been to where we won was Fulham, March 2012.

Last competitive win, Norwich away in the league Cup last season.

Last win, Malaga pre-season

I'm shit at watching us win it seems

Any news on Gabby?

I'm hoping the injury story is just a bluff by Lambert, but I've been known to be wrong about these things.

Tonight is a two-stage process.

1.  Get in to them
2.  Fock them off
