Based on Sky's Premier League matches that weekend, I think that Friday evening and Sunday Noon are still in play

Therefore, the games for the Derby weekend should have been announced last week but they weren't

The ticket office are advertising it as 3pm on the 28th, but I've heard that Sky won't select their games until after the coming weekend

Surely Ipswich won't be moved now? I've already bought train tickets.

I've tweeted AVFCSupport - totally unhelpful. It might or might not be moved and they don't know when they'll know.

When General Krulak, SIR, was still here the fuckers moved a match to a Monday night with less than two weeks notice, couldn't go to rearranged date but had already bought non refundable train tickets for myself and the kids. I asked him why it was changed so late and he said something about terms of the TV contract and just imagine how inconvenient it was for him as he had flights booked. I didn't bother imagining as I couldn't give a toss about his flights.

I wouldn't have thought so, not this late anyway.

I've checked since and see that Championship games are already scheduled for TV that weekend, so hopefully we will be safe.

No, it will definitely be remaining in Suffolk for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for sharing that link UKR. I knew there was something. As it turns out it was a commitment that they decided not to bother with.

Sky aren't going to select their matches for the penultimate weekend until Wednesday 4th. One will be on Friday 27th at 7.45 and the other on Saturday 28th at 5.30.

I think we can all guess which one we'll be .

Here's the official statement:
Quote
TV selections for the penultimate weekend of the season (27 to the 29 April) will be confirmed on Wednesday 4 April following the upcoming Easter programme in order to ensure the most appropriate matches are picked for broadcast, with promotion and relegation battles still to be decided across the EFL.

The EFL has worked with Sky Sports to maintain a minimum five-week commitment to the rescheduling of fixtures for TV selection throughout the season in order to ensure that supporters are given as much notice as possible with the average notification period for 2017/18 in excess of seven weeks (52.5 days).

However, given the significance of the matches taking place on the penultimate weekend, it is the view of both the EFL and its broadcast partner that it is not in the interests of the competition to broadcast matches that have no impact on the outstanding issues of the season.

Therefore, for this weekend only, the policy has been amended to ensure a minimum three weeks’ notice period is adhered to for the vacant TV slots scheduled for 7.45pm on Friday 27 April or 5.30pm on Saturday 28 April.

There can't be a single rule in football that won't be ignored for TV.

"It's not in the interests of the competition". How did they put that in with a straight face?

An annoyance for me must be a nightmare booking from places like Ireland though
