We're going to be on at 5.30 a lot between now and the end of the season I think.

Bolton is another ground that has been built miles out of the actual town/city, like Reading.

MFB Wouldn’t it be nice to take your wife to Hull for her birthday present the city of culture and all that?

I can just picture the scene. "Hull, you say? For my birthday treat you say? And what's this, by coincidence the Villa are playing there too, that day? You are SUCH a romantic!"

Only just seen this but that's a great big green light! Lucky sod.

Looking further ahead I can see our last 3 home games, Cardiff, Leeds and Derby, which are the VP matches after Reading, being on the box. Then, if promotion is still at stake, Millwall last day of the season.

Four of us once had a weekend in Blackpool including a visit to our game at Bolton on the Sunday. A 1-1 under MON if I remember right. One of our travelling party was my bluenose cousin. It must have been very exciting for him firstly as he actually went to a game of football and secondly it involved the team he talks about more than any other. Although he doesn't like being reminded he was always wearing a Liverpool top as a kid. Bless him.

It's not as bad as others, Horwich Parkway station is actually across the road from the ground and it's only 20 minutes from Manchester.

Went up to watch Walsall play up there last season and I chose the weekend the line was closed for engineering work which was a pain in the backside to get to and back.

Cardiff is midweek anyway so won't mess up plans so much.

I have a feeling Derby will be moved to the Monday night. I remember Newcastle last season were promoted on a Monday night game as conclusion of premier league takes priority for Sky on those weekends.

Don’t all the final games have to kick off at the same time for the integrity of their particular league ?

Yes. Sky usually screen two matches on the final day at the same time.

If I knew how to, I'd post the video here from Phoenix Nights when a mini bus full of midgets in Bolton shirts give the bouncers a kicking outside the club.
