Don’t know why the Reading game has been moved but I’m sure there’s some pathetic excuse for it.

We'd be at a disadvantage otherwise so, from a purely playing sense, it's good news for us. Still annoyed we had to play twice in three days last year because of Sky Fairy-worshipping moaners.

Have you ever thought that without them we wouldn't have a club in the first place?

Maybe I've misunderstood your post but are you suggesting Sky are the reason our club still exists?

He's suggesting the Church is why we exist. Still doesn't explain why they would pressure us into moving a game and put us at a disadvantage in the process. I hardly think it's impossible that Villa-supporting maniacs Christians could attend Church AND Villa Park on the same Friday.

Love a 5.30 kick off, more time on the pop. That Wolves game should be a cracking atmosphere if we're still in or around the top two by then.

It was so that their big day wasn't inconvenienced. Whatever your views on religion it's good that we can look to helping the local community.

Of course 30,000 people attending a football match is going to inconvenience them, and if we're going to be doing as much in the area as we seem to be indicating then we'll need community groups on our side. In any case,  Steve Bruce was presumably happy with the change so maybe it wasn't as big a problem as you think it was.

How could it inconvenience them? They've all day to do services. As for our community work, the vast majority of our community aren't Christian yet I can never remember us moving a game for Eid. Maybe Muslims are more reasonable and realise it's possible to have a religious celebration the same day as a football match.

So we have to tiptoe around the current group of fantasists because a previous generation of fantasists set the club up?

I'm with you, I doubt a majority of our fanbase is Christian so whilst we may have been a Christian club at the start, we're not now, so I'm not sure why Easter Sunday should affect the Villa any more than any other club.

We are on about Good Friday but the point still stands. I could just about understand it if we had some sort of "football festival" and had matches throughout the day. Having a game in the afternoon gives observant Christians more than enough time to attend church without being in the slightest inconvenienced by the football.

It's one day a year. What's the problem?

The fact that we had one less day to prepare for our next game. It's two hours during the day, they have the whole day to celebrate the death of a fictional character, what's the problem?

Seems more than likely Yeshua existed. The point of debate is whether he was the son of God. For that one requires faith.

3 games have been moved.
Villa vs Wolves now sat 10th March 5.30pm
Hull vs Villa sat 31st March 5.30pm
Villa vs Reading tues 3rd April 7.45pm

Pit about the Reading game. I was looking forward to an Easter Monday 3pm kick off. It’s not even on the telly.

Delighted with the Wolves game, but would have been more of a shock if it wasn't on the telly. Hull doesn't really affect me, as I wasn't planning on Hull away anyway. It's nice that I can now watch it, shitter for the fans that were going to go. Does mean I probably can't go to Reading now however.
