Match going fans are pretty insignificant financially to clubs to now. Imagine you go to most games a season, and spend say £2,000 a year doing so. Do that for 50 years. Congrats, you haven't even spent enough over those 50 years to keep Darren Bent on the bench for 2 weeks.

And it's that sort of stat that keeps me away from football.

I really must go to my local non-league teams more. I just can't decide whether to adopt Sheffield FC or Hallam FC. The former has a better pub, the latter is closer and has a pub too.

Here we go...

Oh dear! And as if ten Friday night games per season wasn't of sufficient concern, it seems that ITV are planning a bid for the highlights package as well.

Actually that article is fulse there has been live PL football broadcast on a Friday night before, remember during the 90s (Gregory era I think), we played out a pretty dull 0-0 with West Ham on a Good Friday or something like that?

This would be pants mostly for supporters, but hey it is still a long way off, and maybe our love for Football will have been totally drained by that time ;)

Good Friday games used to be pretty regular. I prefer the idea of Friday night to Sunday night games at least. Just a personal preference. I can't see the police liking Friday night games though. I hope they give plenty of notice so as it's possible to book a Friday off work if we're away.

Oh, and did nobody tell the Torygraph that West Ham are moving?

Somebody better tell the Club, their website still has the original dates/times.

Sky should subsidise tickets for games they re-arrange. More fans in the ground makes games better to watch on TV, in my opinion.
I obviously acknowledge Sky pay a hell of a lot for their 'rights' so they're allowed the freedom to move games.
