I wonder why you never hear a terrace chant of hatred towards Sky?

All four sides of a football ground in unison, both sets of real football supporters singing as one to the football viewers sat at home enjoying their Sunday dinner.

The F.A and Premier league have a lot to answer for as well. You would like to think they'd reject any proposals for a Saturday or Sunday night game, but it's no guarantee is it?

Sunday, or Saturday, evening games would pretty much guarantee me not having a ST again. I remember the FAC 5th round against Citeh in 2006 being a Sunday eve game, 6.30? It was wank playing at that time, and not that popular as only about 20,000 of us turned up. And it was a crap atmosphere even before Micah fucking Richards popped up in injury time.

this is me PWS, I like many others choose to travel a fair distance...myself it is a 240 mile round trip for home games and this would be the final straw. The constant movement of our home games has started to wear me down in recent seasons.

Because the Premier League and the clubs in it that are the root cause, not Sky. Admittedly Sky have the money to tempt the PL, but if it wasn't them it'd be BT or Al Jazeera, or some other network.

The next contract is going to be even more insane as Sky try to outbid BT, but the PL see an opportunity to make even more by offering more games and that's just even greedier.

I'm a genuine armchair fan these days (though next year we plan to move back to the Midlands and a season ticket) and will pretty much watch anything, but I've just about reached saturation point with TV games.

Because football supporters would rather hate each other than the real enemy.

Sky filmed us on the coach going to Palace for their pre-season adverts. We gave them dogs abuse.

Suspect it will only get worse until it gets better, the Premier League are 'lucky' that they have the product they do - by rights the league should be like Spain or Germany where the top 2/3 teams just pan the little teams for fun - we are getting there but we do still have competition hence making it so attractive.

Pretty sure there was some anti TV chants a while back but they just turned the mics down so the people watching couldn't hear.

But they really should bugger off to Wales, and take Cardiff, Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Colwyn Bay and Shrewsbury with them.

Excuse me, The Stiperstones are closer to Wales than Shrewsbury is, and you should know that with a Welsh name like Dave. ;)

Blame my mother.

Anyway, I should have said Hereford, I like Shrewsbury, lot's of very lovely pubs.

My elder son is also a Dave, and he gets ribbed by his B'ham based Villa mates for being Welsh, even though he was born in Dudley Road Hospital! You're right about the pubs here; the staff in my office have spent most of today deciding where best to go for a leaving do next month, simply because there's such a good choice.

United FC used to have that song that went "I am a Mancunian, I am an FC fan,........I want to destroy, Glaser and Sky"  to the tune of Pretty Vacant

Is that confirmed? I've got a mate coming over from Amsterdam to watch this, arriving on Saturday morning, flying back on Sunday afternoon

edit - I've just seen the announcement from Sky
