For the rest of this calendar year I think all games have been chosen. I don't know when they start choosing the Jan games. The Palace game is still listed as "Date & Time to be Confirmed"

But they really should bugger off to Wales, and take Cardiff, Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Colwyn Bay and Shrewsbury with them.

Excuse me, The Stiperstones are closer to Wales than Shrewsbury is, and you should know that with a Welsh name like Dave. ;)

And it's only going to get worse...

I've had a ST since 78/78, but frankly it's just becoming a waste of time & money.

That headline is quite alarming. I'm already giving the Sunday 4pm games the finger due to family reasons. Now they're talking of an extra Sunday evening game. It won't be worth buying a ST at this rate soon. Come to think of it, it probably isn't already.

I think ST are ridiculously expensive and, what with the stupid match times as well, were I in the UK, there is no way I would have one now. I used to have one, mind.

I think people should just stop going, en masse. They will soon start changing things if they are playing in front of empty stadia.

That said, they would probably use it as an excuse to play games overseas!

Looks like another later game on a Saturday in the future.

I can't say I like the idea of travelling back from games at 9pm on a Sunday night. It's a horrible suggestion.

If I was watching an extraordinary display of technical skill, mind-boggling physical prowess and passion from Villa then I wouldn't mind so much...

I haven't read the article but for a long time have wondered how long it would be before Saturday and Sunday nights had a live game.

I like how they make it seem as though it's a hardship not showing half the PL games live on TV.

Quote
So one option being looked at by the league and mooted in ongoing talks with broadcast partners is increasing the number of live matches to be sold. That went up from 138 to 154 in the last auction but is still less than half the 380 games in a PL season.

An extra Sunday night slot — like Spain’s La Liga — could be shoehorned into the TV schedule to give BT the opportunity to screen more games, while Sky would at least retain their current share.

BT chief executive Gavin Patterson has made no secret of their support for this option, saying: ‘It is a very interesting point. If there were more games available we would be very interested.’

Sunday, or Saturday, evening games would pretty much guarantee me not having a ST again. I remember the FAC 5th round against Citeh in 2006 being a Sunday eve game, 6.30? It was wank playing at that time, and not that popular as only about 20,000 of us turned up. And it was a crap atmosphere even before Micah fucking Richards popped up in injury time.

..and then he swore live on-air to Garth (B)Crooks. Maybe that's the only way to stop all this tv football saturation, tell the players to eff, blind and "give the wankers" to the cameras at every conceivable opportunidy.

A Sunday night game would be a real kick in the bollocks to fans.

But we don't matter, so it will go ahead anyway.
