Crikey, this is rare.

I was recording everything that was on tv during this period, yet I can't recall the Elland Road match at all.

Thanks for sharing,
Nick

At both games, remember we took a good 5-6000 to the cup match and the atmosphere was electric. Leeds fans were fuckin mental in those days.
Part of my favourite ever season as a Villa fan and great to see the games again, thanks for posting the link.

Brilliant to see Elland Rd pretty full for the cup game and a great away following for that day and age

The only place I ever got my head kicked in following the Villa in 80/81 when we played there early in the season - on the way back to Harrogate on the train where I lived

Odd how little things stick in one's mind; I remember my massive sense of indignation when, on the way up there for the league game, the BBC (whatever station it was then that did the footy commentary) didn't consider it to be the biggest game of the day in the division, let alone the country.
Went up with a Leeds mate amongst others, who had been banging on for months about Snodin and Sheridan, and enjoying how he must have felt as Walters blew them away.
And a Transit full of them attempting to run us off the road on the M1 (my Leeds mate was driving us. Gotta love irony!).
And bananas.
May they rot and never come back.
