It makes a huge difference when Westwood is playing well, reading the game and making his passes.

At least it's further evidence that we DO actually know how to play football. I still think we're only a couple of good players away from being a very respectable side.

Yes this is how we have to play though, passing and moving and pressing.

Now comes the half where we don't play well.

Can you please for the love of god post something positive and not the worst case scenario. Have some faith.

Why do I know we're gonna lose 4/5-2 after playing so well?

It's the Villa way.

Wonder if Holt will come on if Gabby is injured.

Imagine what a solid side we would be if we replaced KEA with a footballer.

Brilliant 45 minutes. Another half like that please.

Fuck sake. He's been very good, give him a break.

Would've thought Albrighton would be the more obvious replacement for one of the wide forwards.

KEA has been absolutely everywhere. Contributing to every phase of play offensively and defensively.

To be fair, after an indifferent first few minutes he played well. I still think he's too slow off the mark though. He's better when we have the ball.

Lets hope we keep it going second half. They dont fancy it when we attack with pace and put pressure on the ball.

We looked a lot like us from the end of last season in that first half.

Gerrard has been shit.

Kept an eye on Bertrand. He is not lightning quick but is very steady. A big leap up on our left backs over the last few years.

We might throw it away on the back of that late goal but the first half performance bodes well for the remainder of the season.
