We badly need to come out like we started the first half again.

Could have done without that goal but it shouldn't take away from what's been our best 45 minutes of football for ages.

Amen brother.

yeah its not like we didnt know it was going to happen but we at least we played them off the park 1st half.

Superb 45 minutes villa- keep it up , thoroughly deserve to be ahead.
Special mention for kea - his best game for the club so far in my opinion.

Why do I know we're gonna lose 4/5-2 after playing so well?

We can play. The first 40 minutes Liverpool hadn't got a clue how to deal with us. 2-0 flattered them. As soon as we give the ball up cheaply and let them play on the edge of our area ...

Very impressed with Russell. He's looked very good with what little he had to do.

I've seen us do this from 2-0 so many times. First 40 minutes we were brilliant, passing and moving well and pressing the ball. That last 5 minutes we dropped off that.

Agreed. Hopefully they can regroup, because when we had 61% of the ball we scored two goals.

Now comes the half where we don't play well.

At least it's further evidence that we DO actually know how to play football. I still think we're only a couple of good players away from being a very respectable side.

This is a just another test. We now have play as if we were starting the game again at 0-0 with the same attitude and passion.

Imagine what a solid side we would be if we replaced KEA with a footballer.

Brilliant 45 minutes. Another half like that please.

It's the Villa way.

What a shame to give away that goal after a near perfect half.  Bacuna, I think it was, who had a simple 15 yard ball to play to Benteke, but just lobbed it back to them.  From that very moment I just knew we'd concede.

Really frustrating to concede there, but I'd have took this HT score at kick off tbh.
