Now Andy Murray's out, I'd like to see somebody new win it.

Murray hasn't been the same since Lendl left - he got that extra few percent out of Murray to make him a winner.

In fairness, I think he's been injured quite a bit since he split from Lendl. This new bloke he's got coaching him hasn't had much time yet.

Anyone see that shot from between his feet by Kyrgios today v Nadal?  Remarkable.

Yeah watching live as, stupidly, I'd forgotten about the football. Doesn't sound like I missed much though in the first half an hour of the Argie game.

Nice to see that racist, grunting, bum-picking, shampoo-dodging, glory-hunting, time-wasting, cheating twat Nadal out.
Something tells me you don't like Nadal. What's with the "racist" comment ? I've never heard of him being accused of being a racist. As for the rest, over his career so far he's been a winner and one of the greatest players of all time.

Of course he's been a winner, so have Chelsea but I don't have to like them.

He made a xenophobic comment about a South American player. We don't seem to have an equivalent word in English but I think it would be a bit like calling a North African a "w*g".

Plus he "supports" Real Madrid who have a long history of far-right support.

I can understand why someone from Madrid would support them, but for someone who lives in Mallorca the only reasons for following them are either being a glory-hunting twat or being a Fascist sympathiser, or both.

Then there is the inexcusable grunting. Federer doesn't do it. You don't need to do it. It can only be done to try to put the opponent off.

And he's always picking his bum. Now apart from being DISGUSTING, it's also a form of cheating. Watch him play. When his opponent is getting on top his bum-picking increases. He uses it as a delaying tactic to disrupt his opponent'a rhythm.

But mainly, I dislike him for being a Real Madrid fan. I would be just as quick to call Murray or Henman a twat if they suddenly announced that they were a Celtic/Man U fan.

I prefer Blose fans to glory-hunters.

If your referring to the incident with Guardio, Nadal is supposed to have called him a "sudaco asshole", which actually means "South American asshole"' hardly a racist comment in my book. And that comment was made after Guardio had called Nadal a "smart ass". Other than that I've never read or heard anything about a racist comment he may or may not have made. If say a Scottish person called me a smart ass or jackass, I'd probably retort and call them a Scottish twat or something.

Regarding supporting Real Madrid I read that as a kid because his uncle played for Barcelona his father bought him a Madrid shirt as a joke and he carried on supporting them. I don't think he needs to do any glory hunting he's earned enough glory doing his own sport.
I agree Real Madrid were financially supported by the Franco regime, but that ended in 1975, 9 years before Nadal was born. If Hitler had been a Hertha Berlin fan would you call all German Hertha Berlin supporters who don't live in Berlin and born after Hitlers death, Nazi's?

Grunting - 99% of the players do it, Murray does it, Djorkovic does it, I think it probably has something to do with putting some effort into a serve or shot, nothing to do with putting off an opponent.
Picking his bum as you call it. Jesus Christ he's running round the court like bloody lightening his pants are bound to get stuck up his arse crack. Don't tell me you've never had to do it. Football players gob and spit on the pitch, that's disgusting.

Nadal is a superstitious person and a lot of what he does especially before serving are from habit, he does the same thing every time.

Last of all, I don't prefer Blose fans to anything, full stop. I don't give a shit about who supports Man U or the Rad Mad's or where their fans come from.

Great final, but sad for Fed - that's surely the last chance he'll get.

Gross exaggeration time, but every time I could be bothered to glance at the television, the cameras were showing David and Victoria Beckham.

Britain's agonising one year wait for a Wimbledon Champion is over. Congratulations to this Brummie who triumphed with her Japanese partner in the Women's Wheelchair event.

In recent years I've only ever seen Serena Williams be called for wasting time - even though Nadal and others such as Maria (Miserable Bint) Sharapova are far worse.

There's also the "I'm losing, pretend I'm injured" tactic that certain players are really good at - such as the reigning Wimbledon champion.

Tennis used to be a game full of style and skill, serve and volley... - now it is just about who can hit the ball the hardest, grunt the loudest, clench their fist and scream "COME ON!!!"

I think playing at your own speed is an accepted part of the game, when you're serving. Deliberately slowing down play when your opponent is waiting to serve is considered by people more expert than me to be terrible gamesmanship and Nadal does it all the time.

So, is the official H&V view of Nadal that we think the same of him as we do of Bono and Steve Hodge ?

He's not allowed to our official parties.
