I agree that the Davis Cup format needs expanding to at least three singles players.
Teams with one great player are at too much of an advantage in the current format.

We have one player in the top 100. It's only because of the ludicrous format that we even got as far as the Quarter-Finals of the so-called "team" event.

I see John McEnroe said he would welcome the opportunity to be Andy Murray's new coach if he's approached. This would be a good move as McEnroe was a genius on court, despite the tantrums!
