Back in 1996 I was one of these "new supporters". I'd never been to Villa Park before, in fact I'd never seen a professional football match before.

If I'd have experienced the attitude than some of you have towards potential fans, I probably would never have returned (and look what words of wisdom and cutting insights into sport and popular culture you'd have all missed out on    )

Nope, each of these nu-supporters merely adds to my sense of pain and disillusionment. Half and half scarves should be banned along with santa hats, jester hats and oversized foam hands.

Last night saw more Oriental / Far eastern people as i have seen for years at VP - it was bizzare

I seen a car load of them  before the game getting out of their car decked in scarves and hats.  Arsenal supporters club from Manchester. Screwed up glory hunting at its best.
