Taken from the BBC….

Interestingly, Christian Benteke's goal was his fifth goal in 16 matches, the same number of goals he scored in his first 16 matches last season. He then scored 14 goals in his last 18 matches to finish the season with 19. So maybe he's just coming into season now?

Confidence and belief. If you keep giving them the ball and against good sides they will punish you and drain the confidence from your bones. No footballer wants to be chasing the ball for 90 minutes. We have likely left this too late and Lambert has to be held accountable for that. How the team comes out and plays starts with him.

Benteke's finally involved and competing. Different player. Tonight will be a real fillip if we can't get him firing against our rivals.
