Your Current Premier League Champion: Aston Villa

If the Premier League title was literally a title belt and worked in the same way as wrestling and changed hands upon a win against the holder, we'd be the current holders after recently winning the title off Sunderland.

Records of all title holders dating back to 1993 here.

I'll organise the open-top bus parade.

It's very sad and utterly worthless but I actually really like this meaningless trophy. It's something that the big teams can't buy.

Though saying that Arsenal may well win it off us a week today.

Say if a team gain the Premier belt on the last day of season but are relegated anyway would they hold it until they return to the top division and lose a game?

They take it with them to the second division and defend it there. I think it actually happened.

Only if the fourth official isn't looking or has been conveniently knocked out by being lightly bumped into.
