You have to ask why he sticks with Westwood and Andi.

Signing Bent saved Houllier's job. I reckon the only thing that'll save Lambert is a recognisable signing too.

You mean a footballer?

Possibly not a 14 year old playing for FC Bicycle Clip in the Czech third division, either.

It's not just picking up players from obscure leagues though, look at Luna. He is absolutely hopeless.

This lad sounds a distinct improvement on the current lot, who is he?

He's young and hungry.

Admittedly, he's only got one leg and shares a worrying amount of DNA with a mule, but he's young and hungry and that's all that matters.

Oh dear.

James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey 12m
HT Villa 0-1 League 1 Sheffield United. Villa booed off. Lambert getting a lot of flak off trinity rd stand as he walks by

It's getting to the point of no return.

It should be but I don't think  anything will happen.

No it won't, because Lerner is quite happy to have a 'yes man' manager in charge, who can run his football club on the cheap, and be content to take all the flak that should be directed higher up.

I heard that FC Bicycle Clip are a very strong team. Paul Lambert really likes them! careful what you wish for!

Lerner is not going to sack him.

He'll probably be on the phone to him tonight, telling him not to worry, everything is ok.

What needs to happen is collectively, they need to wake the fuck up and realise that this cheap dross approach is not working.
You're absolutely right, but why is that Randy's view?  Why is he apparently of the view that nothing needs doing?

Well, the other thing is that Clunge FC from the Swiss second division are already in for him, and we can't compete with their wages.

I just pasted that description into Google and it returned a picture of Jordan Bowery.

The club is bobbing along and not costing him a fortune any more, which I suspect is the main concern.
